Nuendo 5.1/2.1 Exporting Question.

Hey, I'm not completely new to this but I have always had the same problem and was hoping someone would be able to help me out.

For some reason whenever I export a song from Nuendo to mp3 (or play it in Nuendo), there is no sound coming out of my sub. When I play other music, there is. I tried raising the volume of the lows on an equalizer to ridiculous amounts, but there is still a very minimal sound coming from the sub.

Then I tried the following:

In VST Connections I tried adding 5.1.
I made it the default.
I sent all of the tracks to 5.1.
But in audio mixdown when I went to export it said "Only the first 2 channels will be exported."

What am I doing wrong here?
