Tiesto's New Style

Comments? I just want to know what you guys think. I must say I heard his Essential Mix @ Creamfields and I was very suprised and impressed at what I heard.

He "did" a track with Nelly Furtado. He's gone mainstream top 40, so you'll hear him on every single "top40crappytunes" FM station from now on!

I hear he spins at a lot more big clob as of late

What Sigur Ros remix?

Probably just a mistake, you know what track he is talking about.

You probably listened to fake samples. Or am I missing something?

It's not a Sigur Ros remix but a Tiesto production with Jonsi (from Sigur Ros) vocals
Tiesto feat Jonsi - Kaleidoscope

dun mind it i guess - fun - at least its not 10 same same floaty tracks

louder than boom is like a bit silly but quite clever

-in a wall of sound then add another element thats just a mad trance stomp kinda way

i dont like tiesto's new style.

Posted by apple country on Sep-17-2009 19:25:

the new album is horseshit.

Posted by Andy__freak on Sep-17-2009 19:58:

I already wrote off Tiesto's productions skills when I heard 'Elements Of Life'.

Posted by Lil-H on Sep-17-2009 20:59:

Let me just add that his newest album, 'kaleidoscope' is absolute horse shit (as mentioned above), with possibly some of the worst lyrics.
I wasn't impressed by EoL either, but at least that had some musicality (is that a word?).

He does big gigs with a more commercial sound, from people I have spoke to who have gone to some of his recent sets, they say he gets the crowd going and its a lot of fun.

Its actually quite refreshing, bit different from the rest. He drops in some clever remixes of commercial tracks, theres a good flow to the set and his sound stands out from anyone else around at the moment. I don't really like his new style but I do think it works well for the audience he is aiming at.

Well I was referring more to his live mixes. I dont listening to albums I only like live mixes. Well when he spun Dustin Dahn - Stranger to Stability (Len Faki Podium Mix) in his latest Creamfields mix, I thought it was great.

I dont really like trance anymore but this style - which isnt really standard trance - is pretty fun.
