i went to coldplay and left after the first song. i stayed until the end of leon becsause the booze and free stuffed chciken was good.
i thought there was no way that this could be worse than lil wayne.

There's just nothing more to say. ![]()
SEX IS ON FIYAAAAAAAA
The only reason theyre 'big' is because they extremely over-played. Its not that people really literally like those fuc*erz, but they know 'of' them and their promoters have done hella good marketing. But yea man, i cant stand their music. Theres absolutely no substance to any of their songs.
I liked them for about a week. I just get tired of the lead singer's voice, especially their older stuff like from around 2005.
This girl I like is into them so I pretend I don't mind.
My friend has a theory that nobody actually likes The Kings Of Leon. They're just a "big band" and so everyone feels inclined to buy the album because everyone's talking about it.
I rather dislike their new album, but loved them before that. I've heard that the band themselves aren't too keen on the new album either, but spend all their time playing those tracks cause they're the only ones audiences know.

Even the locals here in Nashville can't stand them.

if you are calling kings of leon talented you need to have your head examined. I've seen a lot of bands, but i have never been to a show this flat and bland in my life.
take sex on fire.
it is a pretty much a foo fighters song with a different singer and words.
nothing is original, they are recycling styles of music from the 90's which is actually ok for a band to do because this happens with any style of music...the problem with kings of leon is that nothing they do has their own twist to it. Flat, uninspired arena rock that all sounds the same. 0 crowd interaction other than *insert city* is so beautiful i am so happy to be here.
they are a glorified cover band, and if i had to see one of those i would choose that one that does pink floyd (forget the name, but they do it amazingly and i think they are australian) because they sound more original doing other peoples songs than kings of lame.
i should not even care, but i think just the fact that seeing them made me somewhat angry could be a testament to how generic and useless that i think this band is. I hate modern rap, but i enjoyed little wayne more than this, and he sucked pretty bad.
red morning light.
Is it sad that I have no idea who this band is and as far as I know have never heard any songs by them?

and foo fighters is pretty much like stone temple pilots... please dude. give me a break. welcome to globalized marketing.
uniqueness and originality is very subjective these days.
btw, stone temple pilots is pretty much like pearl jam and pearl jam is pretty much like temple of the dog, etc.
i agree that kins of leon is weak at some points, but their guitar signature sound is rather fresh, in these times, considering it's mainstream music.
regarding their live shows, i saw them last summer in ny and also thought they sucked, but then again, pvd never interacted with the crowd and look at him, his shows are almost always packed!
i would say nickleback and kol are at about the same place on my shit - o - meter.

Dave Grohl is more talented than anyone you will mention in your rebuttal. |
