But this TRANCEaddict? [early/mid 90's hip-hop inside..]
Hate me or feed me more.
edit: tbh i'd appreciate the latter a lot more..
one of my favourites and i have been contemplating doing a mix tape soon with all of my old records from that period. One day i suppose
i'll be back with more after lunch
This was the golden era of hip hop, when you could go see a show and they would actually dance while rapping instead of having 12 guys waving towells and picking imaginary bananas that do nothing on stage.
and one in french (and english) just to show it aint all about the excited states of america.
great choice!
bring on the funk
warning i will also be posting dancehall with rap in it because it is awesome too.
having nothing to do at work this afternoon just got better.
bop bop.
my god this (semi-) french track is so sex and jazz ![]()
and just to prove that the boys down in the 416 could do it too.
not the most obscure track...but "hit a home run to left field like carter did to philly" always made me lose my mind.
four sixteen?
this one EVERYONE knows...but this is the essential biggest 90's track imo.
i got lucky to see biggy open for naughty by nature at the tender age of 14 in 1993 before he blew up. This was THE panty remover, that inspired many games of "smell my finger" with buddies at house parties.

Awesome thread. I find this type of hip-hop very interesting, just don't know anything about it.
because fucking torontos area code should be obvious to me, right..?
and now the dancehall come.
i'm not the hugest kris kross fan, but i like this one. Meh Germain Dupuis knew what he was doing.
this one was big at parties
this one would unleash the wigger in all of us as we got ready to play some football/hockey and crack people.
