Ruby Skye - dresscode, tickets?

Hello everyone.

I'm from Sacramento, I have never been in Ruby Skye before but really want to go in about couple weeks.I'm wondering about dress code at Ruby Skye, what is ok and what is not?what about ripped jeans? and what kind of shoes, shirt or t-shirt and etc.And it's going to be better if I'm buying tickets online?

Thanks!

i've worn anything from dress shirt + dress shoes, to tshirt, regular loafers, and a track jacket. i think they're not that anal with dress codes. just dont wear shorts and a wife beater i guess. i am not sure about sneakers.

unless it's a really really big show, i wouldn't buy tickets online. most of the times tickets are still available at the door, OR there may even be a guest list so you can go in for free (before a certain time, usually 11 or 11.30 PM). check the website a few days before the day you are going.

good luck and have fun.

Never really had a problem with the dress code all those times I went to Ruby Skye. All those times I've been there, almost everyone I see there dresses semi formally or atleast close to it. You shouldn't worry about the dress code. You should worry more about not being able to sit anywhere unless you're VIP or something lol!

i'd buy tickets before, it's cheaper, much cheaper.

as far as dress code goes, i was wearing a electro graphic t, true religions, and kobe iv's and had no problems getting in.

just look good, however your dressed.

you can wear whatever is appropriate for casual dinner including a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers, which will be the most comfortable fit if you're a crowd surfer. they don't even mind hats or zip up hoodies in my experience. just don't show up looking like you came from the beach or the gym (unless you dress like a dbag at the beach and the gym). the people who go dressed up like it's the prom, you can tell, are not regulars. not that there's anything wrong with that.

in other words tuxedo or suite with sneaker is A-okay

depends, most Spundae Fridays or MixedElement Saturdays, there may be guestlist to RSVP.
For special events, highly recommend purchase tickets in advance.

You just can't wear street clothes.

So no sports clothing, no tennis/basketball/etc shoes, etc. No hats.

Just look respectable.

Thanks everyone for responses))

But still are destroyed jeans fine?

you just have to go out to clubs more
it varies from club to club
dress for the proper occasion
like DaveT said "Just look respectable"
or presentable
fashionable destroyed jeans are ok

I usually wear nice jeans, polished dress shoes, and a button up shirt (ironed).

SOME hats are ok. i.e. drivers cap, ivy cap, etc. I have worn polished K-Swiss (all white) too. (white party)

Nice thing about Ruby Skye is while you should ALWAYS look respectable when you go out, the vibe of the club is not to the point where people will judge you on how you look...just go, dance, have fun, tip well, and your night will be a good one.

Oh yeah tix:

We always get the printable tix from the website.

Most people don't do this so there is usually no line to get in for ticket holders. (longest we've ever waited was about 2 minutes!)

I ALWAYS wear a polo, jeans, and convers!
And always buy tickets early online!

I remember the first time I went to Ruby(years ago turning 21 before Spundae moved in)
And I went wearing a suit thinking you couldn't get in other wise

Wear what ever you want, every time I go I wear sneakers and jeans with a t-shirt
around 1am no one gives a shit in there, just make sure your comfortable.

Oddly enough, I've found that buying tickets ahead of time a lot of times caused me to wait longer, because nobody was going in via general admission.

I stopped bothering now. I've never had a problem getting in (although I've never tried showing up really late, like after 1 AM) even at 11 PM. The extra surcharge on the tickets wasn't that worth it.

Also, dress decently. Everyone else has pretty much covered the range you can get in. I've seen some nights where the bouncer has said no to one guy who was dressed (what I thought was) adequately, and I've seen nights where a guy in a wifebeater got in (that saddened and confused me).

Just remember, standing/dancing room only. It does get crowded, but there's a nice fan at the very front if you can get that close. The bartenders also aren't very experienced at making drinks, so be sure you specify exactly what you want going into your glass.

you can wear hats dave. i've worn my giants baseball cap into there before, albeit it was black on black. vahid always wears his vahid hat too. i've even had a random ass drunk guy on stage put his ferrari hat on me before . as long as you aren't wearing thizneyland gear, you're good. as far as the ripped jeans, you can do it if it's a fashion jean. it's pretty hard to get turned away from ruby for the clothes you're wearing imo. this is true of 99.99% of the clubs in sf.
