I really don't get how this is such a bad idea, unless you're just not into Twitter.
i had to delete richie hawtin from everything, because the track updates were more annoying than people who go to star trek conventions.
Is minus even a relevant label at this point?

i dont see it as a joke at all... i think it'd be really cool if it could be applied to all of our favorite djs (i understand most big jocks aren't using solely mp3s/etc)... would make it a lot easier to find out the names of tracks you like.
I wish there were no tracklists. At all.

The wonders of information technology: making it easier each day to follow trends and imitate your favorite superstars.
The good news is that if you don't want to know, you have the option to not use it.
the thing is richie does not need tracklists because he is richie.
a guy like me needs tracklists to hope that someone clicks download. Viva el internet. It has both positives and negatives. The positive is that i have access to more music than when i started buying records in the 90's. The downside, everyone has the same access
and yes, mnus is equivalent to a rick roll without lyrics.

I miss the days where I could go see a dj and not know anything he played, or where I would have to do a bit of work to find the name of a track. It's all become too easy and very very boring to me. As for hawtings twitter dj app, I actually find it quite sad that people would want to know every tune a dj plays. |

Track listings respect the artists who actually write the music that most DJs play. It's all about data transparency.
I haven't had a chance to play with the app but it sounds very cool. Of course, you would really want to open a second Twitter account specifically for this application; it gums up your feed like crazy.
i don't think many people really buy minus releases these days. they're like the abomination of electronic music lately
