Read This! Help me make a choice!

OK, So should I go to school this winter semester of be a ski bum (snowboard bum)?

Pro-school:

  1. I need to go back to school at somepoint...
  2. Parents probably would be happier...
  3. School has people, and some people are girls, I should probably try and get a girl friend.

Pro-ski bum:

  1. I am not in school or working and I have lots of disposable income, this could be the last time I have... time.
  2. Snowboarding is awesome and I pretty much love doing it more than anything, besides trolling.
  3. Crystal Mountain has lots of people, and some people are girls, also ski/snowboard chicks are usually friggin
  4. Getting drunk every night and snowboarding all day if I can wing a cheap place on the mountain...

Soooo?

People usually like guys who do something productive with their life better. And, you know, some people are gurlz.

I can always start school in the spring.

The only thing is dropping 900$ on a season pass when its supposed to be an El Nino year this year... Could be shitty snow.

ok, if it was YOU making this choice, what would you choose?

Posted by Lira on Sep-24-2009 17:06:

Are we to choose between school and what exactly?

Yeah, school it is.

Posted by bananas on Sep-24-2009 17:06:

i dont understand how you guys jump between schools and start them whatever time in the year.
here you start in autumn or wait till next year mother****** wtf. and what do you call school? like literally? or do you call school/college/university all the same?

Posted by Meat187 on Sep-24-2009 17:07:

Reminds me of when that retard BTG made a thread asking whether it was possible to live on welfare, sitting on his couch all day drinking beer and playing video games.
Put your damned time on this planet to some use and go to school.

Both of your options seem to foresee the prospect of female companionship in your immediate future. This is humourous.

Getting drunk every night and snowboarding every day in one of the most beautiful natural settings on earth?

Posted by Lira on Sep-24-2009 18:07:

All right, Nou, I'm going to tell you what you want to hear: go snow board on those mountains intoxicated and enjoy yourself.

We can always hope for a fluke, right? Maybe you'll meet an employer there, and you can land yourself a grand new job - there's plenty of opportunity for web developers in their mid-twenties with no experience or formal education whatsoever

I have three years of professional experience...

Posted by Ania_xox on Sep-24-2009 18:10:

For some reason, I don't think you actually know how to ski or snowboard, but you think it's cool/makes you sound interesting, so you have posted all "in the know" about it

edit: and ya - go back to school because you will likely not become a professional mind skier

go to school, it's dumb to delay the inevitable so you can drink every day. snowboard for winter break and on the weekends. if you really feel you need to live that life take a year off after you graduate.

Posted by Ania_xox on Sep-24-2009 18:13:

I am skeptical...

but school is still the answer

always is

Why would you be skeptical?

Just get a Skiing / Snowboarding game and continue sitting at home.

I already have a bunch...

Posted by ziptnf on Sep-24-2009 18:39:

This answer should be pretty fucking obvious if you plan on doing something with your life instead of "putting it off until next year". Only shady employers won't care that you've only done web stuff on the side and worked for a company and got fired. If you go to school, get your degree, and start over, you might find a way to live your life like you're not an utterly worthless slob.

Three whole years? Whoa, I think that totally makes it up for the lack of formal education!

Never mind, I think you can slide those white mountains and carpe diem your youth out!

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Sep-24-2009 18:43:

screw school....better off hitting the slopes all winter
