The student loans company fked up

So like I put a deposit on a car which I am meant to pay for today, got a letter here saying my student loan is getting paid today, No loan, No car, lost deposit!

So i called the university 16 times and got no answers, some of the people didnt even know my uni did a music course and were asking "are you sure your calling the right uni?" Dickheads!

Called the student loan company like 10 times on an 0845 number and just gettin a message saying were all very busy call back later!

called Student support they dont work today!

The student loans website mysteriously went down earlier today!

So I start digging and turns out its in the news that one third of UK students have no student loans today because of the computer messing up or weight of demand bullshit.

So like how the fuck are we meant to pay our student rents? how the fuck do we eat mother******s! and how might I ask am i meant to travel to FUCKING UNIVERSITY WITH NO FUCKING MONEY!!!!!!!!

I cant believe that we pay £3000 a term to be treated like this.

it's law school. that's actually pretty average.

yeah... I'm aware of that unfortunate fact. I just can't fathom spending that much for college. I understand if it's a good law school or if someone's smart enough to get into MIT or something crazy like that. But shit... that's pure insanity for just a regular bachelor's degree or whatever.

Oh yeah man, I agree. USC is almost 30k/year...and that's just the beachelor's degree. All that money JUST to say you graduated from USC?

I know two people that went to USC and they both graduated with 20k in loans for their whole 4 years there. They are now attending SC for grad school. They also said that 70% of USC attendees get financial aid in some form or fashion.

lol... exactly. The 1 year I had to pay out of state tuition at FSU ran me about $24K, and I'm still pissed about it to this day (in state is about $4000). I've met so many people with good jobs/careers who went to the most obscure colleges.

It really does't matter for most professions.

Erm £3000 per term, 3 terms per year, 3 years! £27000 which has got to be like $40k or something.

Thats cheap well im sorry if I am paying someone $40k to teach me something the least they can do is fucking get things done properly.

yea that's cheap. i think average tuition in america at a university is around $20k x 4 years = $80k.

$40k is not much. UCLA is 10k per year and 4 years. UCLA is not a bad school by any means.

Yup, well have to pay for some minor stuff like books etc, but that alone is covered by student support (Goverment is paying for studying, though less than for unemployed...)

Yeah that is what I thought. Although I somewhat wish that happened here too.
