| Originally posted by Fledz How hypocritical of you, considering you never played the first one and now have all of a suddent become a total fan boy. I'm not denying it's better but it's funny to see you prance around as a hard core gamer with all your knowledge of gaming when most of us have actually played all of them and can make valid points about them. You've just lost all credibility with me. |
If you're into boring realism, then I guess Flashpoint is ok. I'm sure if you actually play the single-player campaigns in an FPS, then Flashpoint could even be great. But single player in any FPS is something I haven't done since Goldeneye.
I have no shame in maintaining that a video game SHOULD have arcadey elements and qualities in it, which is EXACTLY why I find CoD4 to be such an impressive game, and hope for the same from Modern Warfare 2.
Hardcore realism often sucks the fun out of playing a video game, especially when you're a hardcore multi-player like me. In shooters, there's something about being shot by scrubs camping in windows on the the other side of the map that really doesn't sit right with me. Especially when "realistic" games usually don't allow you to move with ANY amount of speed, making it just that much easier for the window-camping randys. Sure, that's what "real war" is like, but it's not "real", it's a video game, and it should be fun.
man you guys are just pussies.
OFDR is going to be the KEWWWWLEST game.
you can blow peoples arms off.
you can walk from one end of the island to the other in 8 hours.
4 player co-op?! yahh

Absolutely. CoD has fantastic MP, OFP....never really played it but it has potential with the massive maps.

Delayed for PC again due to some shitty piracy excuse. Sigh
as if whatever they fix is going to even prevent the game from being pirated
