-- 2 Str8-100s or 1 vestex
2 Str8-100s or 1 vestex
Well 2 stantons or one vestex. My current setup is 2 Gemini XL-100s so anything will be an improvement.
Holla.
depends which model dood!
The top of the line what is it like PDX-2000 or somthin the newest ones
2xst-100s , not str8-100s
u gotta remember if i get the vestex i will only be gettin one...
depends on what you are going to used it for, I just bought a pair of STR8-100's and I love them, I am just gonna use them at home. I was gonna buy a pair of Vestax but than I said to my self If I am going to just use them at home, why shell out more than I can really afford!
I will post some pics of my setup later today!
vestax
Stanton = bullshit. I had str8 100's and i hated those shits! Now i got techs

(LOOKS AMAZING IN THE DARK)
exactly and cuz it's digital, the platter is controled by a chip of some sort. I dono how it is on urs, but on the ones that i had, whenever i would let the record go after u would cue it up, the platter would spin really fast for a second or something which fucks you up.
What's the point of 3.5mm line input anyway, i mean ok you can play a track through the deck, but you can't adjust the speed...
Blue leds do look awsome, but u can get a blue led kit for techs, and can modify any deck with them urself, just need to know how to do it.
Why would you need to have alot of torque anyway? Your not a hip hop Dj are you? Techs have enough torque, and it just says on paper that stanton have more, in the real world they dont...
Reverse is kindda cool, but again is used mostly by hip hoppers.
str8 tone arm is a str8 tone arm, can't fuck with that, but you don't need it if you are spinning trance... Str8 tone arms are shorter than s-shaped ones, that's why they wear out ur records faster(stanton and vestax have really short ones) Str8 tones arms are good if you are scratching...
Lol, "Selectable pitch control" 8% is enough-that's what techs have, it's harder to beatmatch if your pitch control is set at 25%.
Techs are the best turntables and they have enough of everything and are bult to last. Why do you think every club has them, and not stantons?
Belive me, I do know how to use turntables... There's nothing to understand anyway...

so 2 stantons it is. thanks guys.
Ok, seeing those two arguing, it looks like the Stantons are more versatile than the technics. Sure, it has a lot of gizmos that can break sooner or later, but dont you take the same chance when buying a car? I mean, sure, the GPS computer installed in your Acura could break and you prolly wont use it a lot. But isnt it cool even though youre paying a lil extra?
Well going back to TTs, i see it as getting more with Str8 100 and theyre $100 cheaper. Thats almost getting something for nothing. Im not too sure how reliable Stanton's are however. Im still trying to figure that out.
The STR8-100's have slower start up torque than 1200's (of cours!) even though they claim 2.2kg/f compared to 1.6kg/f of the 1200's (This is correct, right?)

I have tried both STR8-100 and my 1200 Mk3's beside each other. The start up torque isn't as quick the 1200's.. thats why the Technics are $200 more
