Ok you want overkill, you will get it

- 4x SL1200 LTD with Gold Ortofons
- 1 Xone:464 coupled to a Mixwizzard console through the Sublink system (mixwizzard could be used for mics, or synths).
- Technics RPdj 1200,1210, Sennheiser HD-25, Sennheiser HD-280, Pioneer SP-450, Sony MDR-V6 headphones (one for each day of the week )
- 2 Pioneer CDJ-1000 cdplayers
- 1 Denon DN-9000 Eclipse (don't really Denon, but the setup won't be complete without one)
- 1 Final Scratch system
- Some Electrix EQkillers
- Akai MPC2000XL sampler (bahh, what the heck, a 4000 is even better)
- Redsound Cycloops sampler (for the quickies)
- Pioneer EFX500 effector, and why not, a Kaoss Pad 2
- Some Ohm Smakstak speakers with Crown amps (CE-2000 of 4000 depending on how much speakers
- Some Adamson Y axis line arrays coupled to Crest audio amps for outdoor gigs
- Some Zomax subs to spice everything up (I'd power them with Ecler PAM 6100 amps).

And finally a truck to transport all this

Most people on here seem to favour the Sony/Technics headphones. Personally, Id go for Sennheisers every time!

For DJing, the 280 Pro is okay, but too bulky for easy spinning. It's the HD 25 that's more useful here. Expensive ($200 USD even at discount), however - but makes spinning at gigs easier.

I use both Techies and Senns, and love them both. Each one has it's pro's and contra's.

Posted by Spin Doctor on Jul-06-2002 15:30:

As ShadySlim mentioned, its the HD 25s that I was referring to. To be fair, I havent used the popular Sonys. So I couldnt really compare, however my Sennheiser have provided me with a long and great service. Currently Im using the HD 200s, which are two down from the HD 25s I believe. And, despite not being top of the range, I find they perform well.

If anyone is interested in the Sennheiser Headphones you can find more information here.

Yeah, i think i want these cans:

HD280s
http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/images/HD280.gif

right now i am using some optimus NOVA 403s, and they are working great, but the senns have more isolation.

anyway.. i guess this is getting a little off topic.

wow.. your the only person who wouldn't want technics 1200SLs...

just curious, why not?

o have techs and i love em, i have never used gemini tables though.

Posted by amdmaxx on Jul-07-2002 22:20:

DO I need to buy an amp to drive Cerwin Vega V 253 Speakers?
?

Posted by CrackedLcd on Jul-08-2002 06:06:

The only reason I would get the gemini's is because they look cool as shit under a black light...In my opinion, they perform just like techz...The only thing different is the weight...techz are slightly more sturdy...

Cerwin vega v253 do need an amp... they can take 750 watts...1500 peak @ 4 ohms...they thump trust me....

I'm gonna have to give the A&H Xone:32 the best mixer title here... for a 10" box that is highly portable, it has astounding quality in all areas. best DJ equiptment investment I have made! And they are not even that expensive !
