According to CNN:

President Obama today joined an elite group of U.S. presidents when he won the Nobel Peace Prize. Unlike his predecessors, Obama was chosen not for substantive accomplishments, but for inspiring "hope" at the start of his term

even I laughed at this

Now now... fascism has a strong social wellfare component but the corporatist economy makes it very different from socializm (despite the party name... which was intentionally constructed to confuse communists into attending the parties early rallies).

I find this choice to be incredibly funny. How you can command a military in two wars/occupations and win a fuckin' PEACE PRIZE is beyond me.

I heard him say that. And i respect him for saying it. Its sad that he basically won it because hes a black president and that everyone including the Nobels are hooked on Obamamania.

No doubt hes a charismatic guy and would make a great dinner guest, but he hasnt been that substantial as a president so far.

The best was this past Saturday's SNL skit with "Obama" going through all the things he's done since he's been president, which amounted to absolutely nothing. He has literally done nothing.

It think its because he is the first US president in 20 years that HASNT started a war.

Good job, you have gone 9 months without starting a new war! I know its really tough to do as the US president, so here you go, you deserve this more than anybody. Fuck if I had nukes I'd bomb the hell of out of France, as fast as possible.

apparently word has it that the Vatican is already working on his pending canonization..

and in other news..

"I normally can't stand to hear Rush Limbaugh's voice, but I just might listen today. I might flip on Fox for a bit. I'll make sure at some point this afternoon to Google "Orly Taitz and Obama Nobel" to imbibe the analysis on offer from the queen of the birthers. I'll definitely check in on the rightwing websites, and I urge you to do the same if you have the time. It's going to be an extremely entertaining day." - Michael Tomasky, The Guardian

"The spectacle of Mr. Obama mounting the podium in Oslo to accept a prize that once went to Nelson Mandela, Aung San Suu Kyi and Mother Teresa would be all the more absurd if it follows a White House decision to send up to 40,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan. However just such a war may be deemed in Western eyes, Muslims would not be the only group to complain that peace is hardly compatible with an escalation in hostilities." -- Michael Binyon, Times Online

Retrace that thought again after spending a short 1hr53mins on the following VIDEO and research a little further on his foreign policies would be a good introduction to look deeper beyond the surface.
