I should add that Oct.30th I play an extended set with my friend all night and despite the face it's a Friday there will be no electro house.
It's just tracks that we love to play going all night..... progressive house....tech house ...minimal.....whatever we feel like...
I may even drop my own production that night too , working on my first house track right now.

Check out Mercury Lounge (in the market) at least once, Fri or Sat, for a drink or two, around 10-11PM. It's an Ottawa institution. Downtempo tribal-ish loungy sexy house, but builds up over time, and quite often there are live percussionists. Great to get the clubbing night started.
Merc is probably the only place i go out in ottawa now a days...for house..its an older crowd. Its not very big place either.
for Headliners..i drive to mtl.

you could always skate the rideau canal without skates, that way you could say that you were the first to do mnml in ottawa.

| Originally posted by DJ_LIFT Sorry I forgot LAGO!!! Lago is open during drinking hours and has recently had some major headliners.... Sander Van Doorm , Markus Shultz , Roger Sanchez , Deadmau5 and others.... Yes it's hard to believe such major names are appearing in Ottawa at a nightclub but it's true. |

| Originally posted by DJ_LIFT Thanks MTLRIZZO , you are correct. There is plenty of house played all weekend however Friday is promoted as more of an electro night ( however I must confess when I open or close friday nights I don't play electro at all , more tech house and prog house ) with the feature DJ typically playing electro/commercial stuff. Sat nights is promoted as the "techno / minimal" night and this is true , You can hear alot of tech house at the start of the night as well. Other then that , during drinking hours you can check out Ritual , NV , Encore, and I think 426 may still have a house room. |
