[Souvenir+02] Maher Daniel & Ostrich - Haute Couture

Souvenir Plus has got quite a successful launch in July with its first
double-track package by Steve Lawler and Tiefschwarz. This second
instalment collects the beat-conducted flavas of Ostrich & Maher Daniel
(Bedrock / Get Physical) and Prompt (Yoshitoshi / 7noise / Soma). The
two tracks have in common spicy bounces, somewhat relevant with the
vivid and colourful atmosphere of the flea-markets, we all enjoyed on
Sunday Afternoons.

Maher Daniel & Ostrich, the Canadian producer duo certainly knows Paris�
18th District, Barbes-Rochechouart. Right there, in the most multicultural
place of France, are to be found the best value-for-money bongos and
drums, some trinket shops dubbed by Arabic horns, or some chicks with
the loud attractiveness of the hoods. Do you get the picture? Now, get
�Haute Couture�.

Coming from Spain, Prompt�s productions have been lately playlisted in
some famous compilations of the likes of Joris Voorn`s Balance Series,
Matthew Dear`s Body Language or Slam`s Sci Hi-Fi. Ovata is permeated
with the mystic vibes of the Souk. Walled by a steady beat, some
illuminated cymbals and triangles gradually heralds a religious chant
infuriated by a roaring bass-line and uplifting dub-effects. Don�t get lost in
its maze-like groove!
