80s Anyone?
I am sure of us must have been listening to a great deal of music before all the goa-trance-trance came up...
The 80's saw the use of electronic music incoporated with vocalists...still we hear them today...
I personally think that Tiffany, Debbie Gibson have either really good engineers or their vocal strengths are really worth the mention.
Oh well, it was the 80s...but I am glad there's still some Emotional Songs to listen to..rather the all night head-banging tunes...lol
I am sure the pieces we all listen too leaves a subtle moment in our lives...some image that we can back and see that deja-vu-thingy backwards instead of forward...
Oh well, is there anyway to really generate really strong vocal tracks without bringing a live one back? Let me know..I could use some samples..

Some POP-music is imho a kind of "ancestor" for trance with its vocals and emotional (synth)-melodies.
But I myself went into Techno/Trance/Rave by the Europe Dance Scene from 92-94 on. Like Culture Beat/2 Unlimited/Captain Hollywood Project.
My first CDs i bought were in fact some eurodance 92 CDs and I still enjoy listening through them from time to time !

I use to listen to the Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, and The Cure, now I listen to them every now and then, but the Pet Shop Boys are still my favourite "group" of all time and I listen to them more often than the other 3 right now, my favourite PSB tune is "Radiophonic" its a fucking awesome song, I suggest u go download it for all the people that like Always on my mind
Level 42 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they were my favorite act in the 80's, they were classified as brit funk but Shep Pettibone did some awesome dance remixes of their stuff.
Level 42 - Something About You (Shep Pettibone Remix)
Level 42 - World Machine (Shep Pettibone Remix)
Level 42 - Lessons in Love (Shep Pettibone Remix)
There was also some good dance remixes floating about of stuff by Duran Duran.
Some of my 80s favs are/were A-HA (Take On Me), Duran Duran (Ordinary World) and Pet Shop Boys (Always On My Mind) and Depeche Mode (Enjoy The Silence)..
who remembers Tears For Fears - Everybody wants to rule the world or
Crowded House - Don't Dream its Over?

i guess my favorite '80s was Trent Reznor, aka Nine Inch Nails (he wasn't really around until the late '80s though). i love NIN, so i guess i can class them under '80's since thats when he originated
KMFDM came from the 80's too... i like them a lot also
DURAN DURAN
They used alot of cool synths and samples back in the 80's.
Their best of CD collection is mint.
Ok... does anyone know what the track with the male vocals "how does it feel...(rest unknown)" is called?
