Get ready to be spooked as Danny Tenaglia hands out his sonic Trick-o-Treats for the annual Boo Yourself! Halloween night extravaganza on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at Pacha NYC.

“October is BOO YOURSELF month!" Danny Tenaglia exclaims! Boo Yourself! puts a thrilling twist on Danny’s legendary weekly “Be Yourself” parties at the now defunct Vinyl nightclub in New York City, where partygoers, as well as Tenaglia himself, let go of drama and just embraced a night that was all about the music. This was where Tenaglia first was able to truly spread his DJ wings, as these nights allowed him to experiment and play whatever he felt like, and the crowd loved him for it. the crowd should be pretty good
i went 2 years ago and lots of people had on a costume and the vibe was great

i kinda agree on the vibe part

my review....got there like 5ish it was very packed upstairs, but on the main floor it wassent that bad i found a spot with some friends to chill out and dance
the music from when i got there to 6:30 was up and down, but between 6:30 and 7:30 dt was banging it the fuk out proper
he was in his zone, then from like 7:30 to 8 he got a lil boring and at 8 they had some show with anthony lamont which was wack, but after that danny brought out the drumsssssssss, lots of good percussion tracks, the vibe was kind of lacking at certain points when he was banging it out, but it was an alright crowd no cracked out messes

Paid 60 at midnight, endured 2.5 hours in this packed, hostile environment (a guy chatting on his blackberry told me to 'back the fuck off' cause I dared dancing in somewhat close proximity), tried to enjoy the pretty dull music by the warm up DJ and make sense of the stupid horn sounds, and then after 20 mins of DT just gave up. It's a shame that even if one of tour all time fav. DJs is playing, when the setting is just wrong, you can't even begin to enjoy it. I really hope to catch DT at some other venue soon.
