damn i saw the presales start at $10. if people planned to be there you would think they would get the presales from the get go. Seeing him in SD the following friday, and yes got tickets while at $15, now up to $30.

I noticed on the RSVP link that it's noted as "Extremely limited discount list" and that later on it says it closes at 10:30. Normally they stay open to 11~11:30 if I remember correctly.

So is that the limited part? As long as we get there before 10:30 should get discount list? Or is it even more limited on top of that like get there at 10pm?

I only ask because I have a friend who is getting off late from work and may hold our group up.

tell your friend to buy a presale. this is a big night for Vanguard. There will be a ton of people trying to get on that discount list. As Bigperf mentioned, if you plan ahead, presales end up being the best thing to have.

+1.

at the moment the discount list i can get you on is saying its open until 11pm, but typically its the same close time as the Insomniac list so that may change...

bottom line is your friend is best served buying a presale to guarantee entry.... check out the link in my post above to buy the tix.

Well I think my friend can make it there before 10:30 would that be ok for discount? I just dont know if he could make it at say 10.

Is he fairly safe if he makes it there before 10:30?

hard to say for sure... on the biggest nites at Giant/Vanguard, they give out limited # of discounts. i'm not sure yet what the case will be for this Sat but i try and find out and report back.

Any time you see limited discount list, that means there are a certain number of discount tickets available for that night. Discount list remains open either until those tickets are gone OR until the time listed. Most of the time, it is a night that is in high demand, these are likely to run out prior to 10:30. Your best bet is buying presale, this will be a capacity night!

La people just have a ton of money to burn i guess...in sf there are complimentary guestlists that show up for big shows(markus last week, benny 2 years ago last week, my 1st time at ruby) so its different up there...but vanguard is never free unless your friend's are playing or you get one of the promoters to put you on their comp list(greg, jeremy...) so you may as well just get the presale. robbie rivera 3 weeks, it is $10, get it now. Dragan in one month, up to $20 already. fedde dec 12th $15, hernan cattaneo dec 19th $10. buy the presales to vanguard la peeps.

those are all great prices and pretty much fair. and the same goes for Avalon as well. Got to know one of the promoters to get in for free.

SF is different. different attitude towards music and clubbing. its like comparing apples to twinkies (deep fried twinkies FTW!)

Hello everyone!

Due to high demand for pre-sale tickets, there will be no discount list for this event. Please purchase pre-sale tickets while they are available.

Thank you!

Pre-sales are $40!!! damn I saw them at $10. nothing gets marked up 300% in a month span!

what recession!

Just fyi they canceled all the discount lists. It's pre-sale only.

Was planning to hit this, but $40 just to get in makes a poor man that just racked up some analogue compressors to sit the fack down.

Hopefully it doesn't end up being like a David Guetta night. If it does I suggest staying as far away from the Vanguard as possible.
