The Crazies

Seems like there's been so many stupid wannabe "freak you the hell you" movies lately, and pretty much all have been terrible; is it just me or is the genre hurting these days? Anyway I saw both these previews in the theater tonight before my movie started and they look like they have decent potential. First one is called "The Crazies" and is a remake of a 1973 movie I guess.

This one is called "The Fourth Kind" and seems extra creepy.

The Fourth Kind looks really fucking scary. At least the preview made it seem like it.

yeah man... that "based on actual events from real video evidence" gives it that extra "holy shit" flair.

Yeah, that's not an uncommon thing though. I dunno, looks really intense, and shit like that just gives me the heebies.

The Fourth Kind looks really tight, not gonna lie. Although I've been trying to find this trailer for this weird japanese horror movie where it has this girl carrying a chainsaw.

That's like mothman prophecies, but way way scarier.

Indrid Cole can't hold a candle to that owl

The Crazies reminded me of The Happening

xept it doesn't seem as stupid

They are giving away a lot of the crazies in that preview, that is never a good sign of the movies quality.

90% of horror movies have always been terrible, even in the golden eras. Although these remakes of 70s/80s classics are pissing me off. The Crazies is the kind of low-budget film that could do with a good remake, but the remake we get will almost certainly be shit.

Those trailers don't really seem that scary. Then again, I did watch an episode of Seventh Heaven yesterday, so my tolerance for scary, horrible shit is way up.

fourth kind preview was freaky. 1:58 scared the crap out of me @ the theater. after that, the circular saw was relieving.

The Fourth Kind looks awesome, I'm pretty stoked about it. I prefer the super creepy kind of movies as opposed to the silly zombie shit like The Crazies.

Will not lie, when I first saw The Fourth Kind preview right before District 9 it was really unsettling.
