Sasha | 10/28 | Opera

Didn't see a thread, anyone else jive? He may not exactly play stuff I consistently enjoy, but I'm a Sasha and Diggers fanboy for life so I'm interested in going.

fffffffffffuckin Opera though, Sasha would probably wreck Filter.

You won't want to go when you see the Tiesto-esque line. Trust me, it's enough that my entire crew that drove up from Florida + Tom didn't go and just hit Midcity instead.

hmmm... glad you posted this because i would have never known otherwise. may have to go to this... what's he rocking these days? awesome invol2ver style tracks or put you to sleep minimal stuff?

Posted by Demoted on Oct-22-2009 15:19:

I'm leaning towards pass. I don't want to pay for Opera.

Posted by trancension on Oct-22-2009 15:19:

Saw him this summer with Diggers on a Friday at Dreams...great fucking night.

I will not tarnish that memory by seeing him for a couple of hours on a Wednesday night at Opera.

No sir.

Posted by Seppuku on Oct-22-2009 15:39:

Naw. Opera just isn't worth it.

Posted by enydo on Oct-22-2009 16:45:

baaawww looks like I'm not going then.

Fuck there is nothing going on in this city anymore.

Posted by Seppuku on Oct-22-2009 16:51:

Fuck I know. None of the smaller promoters are really doing anything anymore, I guess due to the lack of venues. And all the big shows are either shit or at shit venues. On top of that, the lineup at Filter isn't really anything I'm interested in...Bring some more Kompressed.

Oh and, someone book Gaiser here and I will love you. He's coming to Miami in November.

Opera sucks

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Oct-22-2009 20:08:

Sasha + Opera + Halloween = FAIL.

Wait in line forever, probably see more of those dandy line cut tickets, and when you get in there... WAY overcrowded and you'll be slapped in the face by 20 dozen fake fairy wings, pirate hats, etc... even if you stand in the least crowded spot. I'll pass... but I am hitting up Acosta Friday

WHAT ABOT CUT LIN

Posted by Demoted on Oct-22-2009 20:17:

The only way I'd go is if I had my Halloween costume done. Which will be a DIY Ed Hardy shirt made with a bedazzler and fairy droppings.

Opera = No thanks

Wednesday night = No thanks

If it were at a good venue on a Friday or Saturday (or hell, even a thursday) I'd be down.

Ya, don't get me wrong, I love Acosta. But Sasha has more of a Halloween vibe, and he would probably kill Friday night at Filter.

Who said anything about Acosta? I'd rather jam some wood splinters up under my toenails than hear that schlock for 3 godless hours.

Posted by trancension on Oct-23-2009 03:08:

huh?

Acosta is playing Friday night at Filter...

You really couldn't put 2 and 2 together there and get 4?

I would venture to say that having a DJ like Sasha on a Friday night in a small venue would have ticket prices upwards of $50-$75. It's not good business for the promoter.

Yeah it would be cool, but it's never going to happen.

Posted by trancension on Oct-23-2009 03:58:

They did it a couple of years ago.

Posted by Seppuku on Oct-23-2009 04:04:

lol @ sasha in filter.

How is that lol?

Yeah, it'd never fucking happen, but it would be cool. as. fuck.

Maybe he'd get all nostalgic and start dropping epic / progressive house from the mid-90's. I'd probably wet myself.

Posted by Seppuku on Oct-23-2009 04:39:

oh yeah, it would definitely be awesome...I was loling at it ever happening. and imagine that sardine can!

Posted by ZeeRobot1 on Oct-23-2009 21:02:

Sounds like you're halfway there.
