Wow. I have just downloaded the free samples from your drum machines 01 (all 190 of them!) and they are absolutely spot on! The sounds you guys make are brilliant. Top marks. Hopefully will buy this as soon as i have the funds.

I loved sfx collection too btw.

I would register and get the samples and look at all your stuff, but 8-10 characters for a username is not good.

Should be 4-10 characters. Can't be bothered trying to come up with another username for it.

Hey Wave Alchemy - congratulations on your success. The SFX01 collection is excellent and very nicely priced (especially when ResonantVibes sells it at 50% off). However, I would like to know if you guys have considered offering more loop-free sample packs (i.e., one-shots only), perhaps with pre-made kits for Battery 3, Kontakt, etc. included. Take a look around on some of these forums and I think you'll see that there are a lot of people who don't want or use the loops in most sample packs (myself included) and consider them a waste of $ and HD space. Just a suggestion.

At any rate, these sample packs look/sound great and, as usual, are priced to sell. Thanks!

I agree 100%. It's not like we're trying to protect our retirement savings here.

Hi cryophonik!

Many thanks your positive comments!

yes we have alot more loop-free sample packs in the pipeline. In the mean time our Drum Machines 01 bundle contains 3 of our micropacks: AirBase Drums, Electrik Drums and Deep Drums. These packs focus on high quality single hits (you won't find any loops in these packs), just individually crafted one-shots recorded from classic drum machines using some nice outboard!

Also we have a new series coming soon which will focus on loop-free packs/single hits ect... so keep a look out for that.

Also Waza!

thanks for your feedback. I have changed the customer register form now:

username: 5-10 characters
password: 6-20 characters

All the best

Steve Heath

With your kick drums have you already put a high pass to roll - off the sub 40 or 50hzh? No matter if you have'nt but I just need to know.

Cheers

registering in your site is a pain in the ass.

These free samples are quite good. Thanks for the heads up.

The kick drums included in Drum Machines 01 contain no high-pass filtering. The aim of this product was to capture the sound of Jomox's Mbase 11, XBase999 and AIRBase99 drum machines as well as Vermona's DRM MK11.

We Didnt use high-pass filters as we wanted to retain the original sound as much as possible. We used API Pre-amps along with high end converters. A very small amount of the sounds are enhanced with various outboard gear such as an empirical labs distressor, SSL E series comps and eqs etc.

I hope that helps?

Could you elaborate on this please? Our website has only recently launched so there have been a few minor teething problems such as the one mentioned in this thread by Waza (this is sorted now by the way)

Infact if anyone has any feedback on the website we would love to hear from you. We are always looking to improve our system as to enable a better user experience

Glad you like the sounds. We ensure that everything we release - free or not - is of the highest possible quality and use only high end studio equipment to achieve our results

We have some exciting new single hit drum products in the pipeline which will be priced similar to "drum machines 01" but specifically aimed at certain genres of music.

An important thing to us is that we vouch to NEVER rip sounds from vinyl, CD, mp3 or any other source and pass them off as our own. This goes for all of our product line, including all of our forthcoming drum hit libraries

Not here. The entire process took me about 40 seconds and I didn't even have to wait for a confirmation email, reply to it, etc. Probably one of the easiest registration processes I've encountered.

Just a quick update for anyone interested. We have just uploaded a completely free pack called "Club Kicks" which serves up 150 kick drums from the Jomox Mbase Drum Machine.

Wave Alchemy - Club Kicks (free!)

Club Kicks by Wave Alchemy serves up 75 thunderous kick drum samples from Jomoxs famous analogue kick drum module. As with our "Drum Machines 01" library all sounds have been beautifully recorded through an API 512c pre-amp, only this time ALL samples have been enhanced with generous amounts of outboard compression and EQ!

To further this, all 75 samples have then been passed through a Sherman Filterbank distortion unit to add a grittier and more harmonically rich tone! For your convenience we have included both the distorted and pre-distorted kick drum samples giving you a whooping 150 floor shaking analogue drum hits.

Enjoy!

Nice! Thanks for these.

I picked up the Drum Machines and African Rhythms packs last night. The African collection will complement my recently purchased MOTU Ethno nicely and was cheap. The Drum Machines pack is very cool - I loaded a bunch of samples into Maschine last night and went nuts. Great sounds!

BTW, I really like this:

Thanks for the kind words Cryophonik, we appreciate any customer feedback and take everything on board. The vermona DRM sounds are my favourite from the collection. Its got such a distinct sound!

Im glad you like our policies, We are proud to create all of our drum hits without the need to rip from other medium. We have a new series (Drum Tools) which i mentioned briefly in a previous post.

Here is a sneak preview (snippet) of some the promotional copy for our forthcoming Drum Tools Series :

The sounds from Wave Alchemy's Drum Tools products are produced from the ground up by the layering and processing of drum machine samples, and the recording of live drum and percussive instruments. The signal chain we use encoporates a number of highly sought after outboard compressors, equalizers and pre-amps resulting in a unique sound that will set you apart from the rest!

Set to be the future industry standard of single-hit drum sounds - Wave Alchemy Drum Tools supply you with 100% original 24-bit one-shot drum hits recorded and produced using only the very finest of outboard studio equipment. You will NOT find LOOPS in this catalogue.

Many libraries of this kind tend to source their sounds from old records and other peoples commercial music. We vouch to never rip sounds from vinyl, CD, mp3 or any other source and pass them off as our own! Everything we produce is 100% original.

I will look into this a.s.a.p. Did you get an error message? I think you have to have the latest version of flash installed. The website was actually designed in safari so it should work.

Nice - I'll definitely be buying that (no loops - woohoo!). I really like your company's philosophy and your products are both high quality and affordable. Consider me a fanboy.

I am using Version 4.0.3 (5531.9)
and flash player 10,0,32,18

it just doesn't load. I can see the player but it is not operational.

EDIT : I cleaned my cache and every thing works great now. My bad

Just one question though..
Can these free samples be used in any productions?
Or are they just to represent the quality of their respective sample packs?
