Maelstorm at last

I just downloaded the Reason 2.0 Demo and checked out the new Synth Maelstorm. GREAT !
Phat basic waveforms, cool FX and better sound quality ( although more cpu usage than subtractor ).
I think we are again nearer at professional quality at home studios

Any experience with it already or do you have examples of phat sounds made by other Synths ( Hard- & Software )?

I just played with it now for the 20 minutes they let you, and I loved it. I recorded with Totalrecorder me playing with it using the Tranzy state of mind melody

Just playing around

Is it true that the malstrm has a kind of abstract sound?
If true, than I hope that you can create good leads too, instead of only FX and atmopheric sounds

With malstrm you can create on the one hand those strange abstract sounds with a lot of noise, but I also succeeded in getting some quite good leads ( Unfortunately I have the Demo Version and I cannot save patches or melodys , when I have more money I will upgrade ).

Sound Quality is better than subtractor, which sometimes sounded a little harsh with a lot of anoying noise in the high frequencies.

Yeah you're right, I never really liked the substractor either...

It's a real nice addition to Reason! You can geet some pretty awesome sounds out of it...that's for sure.
