Sound Issue - Mac

Hi folks, right so my problem is this.

Im trying to record a mix from my decks to my mac using an rca/jack cable. This is the way ive been doing it for months with no problems, but recently after i record a mix and play it back there is feedback (buzzing humming noise) but i only hear it when i play it back and not while recording so its not my speakers (hi fi)

I moved the speakers away from my mac incase that was an issue, changed nothing.
I bought a new rca cable, still no change

I am using adadeus pro to record, so i tried audacity and still getting the same issue.

I then got my sis's laptop and recorded a sample to that and it worked, no feedback! So it has to be a problem with the mac but i dont know what to do? Any ideas?

Try this,

Record something on your laptop with it plugged into the mains.

Then record another sample with it unplugged from the mains and check if the feedback is still there.

Yip tried my sis's laptop plugged in and unplugged and its perfect so its nothing to do with the power being supplied, im thinking its more something to do with the power supply on the mac pro?

Google ground loop isolator. Theres also a thread on this a few ones down. Put it between your mixer and line in on your computer and that should fix it.

The feedback is coming from one of my cdj's, i swapped around the cables and the power supply and still no good

is it one of the macs with one minijack for both in/out? could be problematic. havent really tried myself though but try lower the volume on your mac, maybe its sending it back haha. dont know though.

You're saying the CDJ is giving the buzz? That makes no sense if it didn't present on the laptop.

One at a time, try plugging each CDJ directly in to your mac (bypass the mixer) and use that same cables each time.

Then try plugging the two CDJ's in to completely different wall power outlets (use an extension cord coming from a completely different room)

If the buzzing is still there on the recording you know it's and internal problem with CDJ for sure.

Got to radio shack (or online) and get: Shark ground loop isolator and put it between the problem CDJ and your mixer. It's only $10 so won't be the end of the world if that doesn't fix it.

Other than that it sounds like an earthing issue caused by the transformer in your CDJ and it mught be time for a service.

i remember having some of the same problems once with my old radioshow, using djm500 both outputs (booth+master) and long cables. it wasnt any diferent when from what channel i used though but it was werd as hell. the booth was plugged into a stereo and the master was plugged into a computer. when swithing to balanced cables from master out and switched that output to the stereo instead and then using the booth output to the computer it was sorted out. so it got fixed using balanced cables really but they where shorter so it might had to do with that too. check your cable length.

MTS Converter can convert HD video to general video, convert general video to HD video, convert among HD videos, such as HD TS, HD MTS, HD WMV, HD MPG, HD MPEG4, H.264/AVC , HD AVI, HD ASF, etc. And it is also a powerful M2TS Converter and TS Converter
