______

As the pages of our fall 09 calendars peel away, uncertainty leaves
its impression on the direction our global climate is heading towards.
Through the persistence and determination of bringing some warmth back
into our city of Montreal, first time collaborators 13 % and Alphabeats
join forces to invite Jimpster (aka Audiomontage), one of the most celebrated
and influential deep-house DJ/producers for his first ever Canadian appearance.
Whether its charming various audiences at Fabric (London), Panorama Bar (Berlin)
or Cocoon (Frankfurt), what Jimpster doesnt know yet is that the recipe for
Montreals dancefloor was designed with his lush deep-house sound in mind.

On Friday 6th November, 13 % and Alphabeats welcome their distinguished
guest and Freerange Records head-honcho, Jimpster. If one were to glance
at this artists highly remarkable discography, they would quickly understand
why he constantly travels around the globe accommodating a very busy calendar
thats always booked up several months in advance. His recordings have
landed on various household imprints such as BuzzinFly, Poker Flat, Soma,
Naked Music, Ninja Tunes, Astralwerks in addition to his very own Freerange
Records based from the UK. Jimpsters has been sculpting his signature
sound since 1996, which can be best described as deep-house music catered to
shine a light into ones soul. Then add a perfect dose of melody and a splash
of techno inspired elements to keep things fresh.

This event will be held at Espace Runion located at 6610 Hutchison
(corner of Beaubien)
. Also on the evenings line-up are Musique Risques
very own Bleuchut, 13 % resident Ostrich and the always reliable Soundshaper
from Alphabeats. Doors open at 10pm and will continue till the early morning
hours of 5am. Please make note that no one will be admitted after 3am.
Limited $10 pre-sale tickets are available for purchase at Atom Heart;
otherwise the entrance will be $15 at the door.

The buzz around this event is overwhelming, so pre-sale tickets will
be selling really quickly. Do not sleep on this opportunity to purchase
tickets at this price; otherwise itll be $15 at the door! If you intend
to wait till the last minute, we would kindly suggest arriving early as
the venues capacity is limited.

Please note that we will have a cash only bar
and that there are no ATM machines close by.

Posted by ostrich on Nov-02-2009 04:42:

Niiice one, sir Witty. That's the spirit!

I haven't been this excited for an event in a while..
What better way to celebrate this occasion that in a
fresh and intimate new venue. Let the countdown begin

Posted by Adam420 on Nov-03-2009 21:33:

What is also awesome about this event is that it is a single bus ride away from my house!

Normally it's a struggle figuring out how to get home, and an expensive ordeal, so I'm really happy about
the ease of getting to the venue and then back home.

Friday come already!

Nadir have you got the timeslots?

Note to self: "you know its going to be dark in there right?...Greeen shoes..."
"...rrrrrriiiiggghhtttt"

Silver glasses is the additional info i could give, but then again, without the lights... well see you guys there!

Jimpster has arrived!

See you in a bit

Posted by kanaBEATya on Nov-08-2009 02:31:

good party. nice venue. clean bathrooms. good music. crazy crowd. add one more bar at the back of the room and perhaps better aeration (there was a funky BO smell in there sometimes!?) and we definitely have a winner for future events. good stuff guys, it was a success.

never noticed that but then again i was quite drunk.

i really liked the venue, kind of like SAT but a bit smaller and cozier. Jimpster's set was very tight and the crowd was eating it up.

overall i had a great time and had great vibes from the crowd. looking forward to the next one!

Posted by Fruitless on Nov-09-2009 00:48:

Jimpster definitely rocked it, very tight and nice progression!

Pretty sweet venue as well, the sound was nice and boomy in the centre and the crowd was very fun to party with

Would definitely check this place out again =)

Just wish they let me drink beer out of the bottle :P
