i'm trying to settle a bet between me and my gf

madonna's song sorry , the chords are right from this classic french houre song ( 2000 or before) sort of Olav Basoski era, and i'm trying to find the original artist( I only heard the song at parties as it was a popular song) . It isn't a matter of being close, it is exactly the same. I just can't remember the name but my memory for music is photographic.

I'm guessing that you're thinking of Dot Allison - Substance (it's hard to find the original, but the FtH version is more obvious anyway).

Although that song itself ripped off the bassline pretty blatantly from the Jackson Five's Can You Feel It.

Everything's a ripoff.

If there's something even closer (and older) then I haven't heard it.
