i may actually have to miss this for something. :/ my attendance at my new job has been spotty lately, at best, and i doubt they'll let me come in and leave early so i can make it down there. fuck.

Posted by UWM on Nov-25-2009 18:13:

location posted today. should be a good party, won't be making it unfortunately. also, it seems only gadi will be there. so ... they should just call it "Lamb".

Posted by Spliph on Nov-25-2009 18:53:

717 s. wells in case anyone is wondering... it's in a high rise, in the heart of Downtown and a super slick venue.

not sure if i'm making it either... someone convince me!

really? huh. you know, tbh, i never really thought that the chicago crowd was the type that got down with the wolf+lamb sound.. however, soul clap the weekend before was fuckin out of control.

now i'm kinda glad i didn't call off of work to go see 'em

Posted by MissNick on Nov-28-2009 14:17:

Dancefloor was cleared because his Serato wouldn't work... didn't have any backup plan and he was more interested in dancing than mixing.
I am kinda sick of showing up for gigs where people plan on being a digital dj and then their system fails. 4 of the last 7 events I have been to have been "saved" by someone having vinyl to put on or a mix cd to prevent silence. Get there early to test it out people.

that was part of the problem, but i think totally stopping Giannas set at 125bpm and restarting with some soul record at 80bpm pretty much killed any energy in the place...2 or so tracks later his computer crashed.

Posted by UWM on Nov-28-2009 20:45:

guess I didn't miss much by not being there.

To be fair, Serato is a piece of shit. In any case, I doubt his set wouldn't have been without "technical difficulties" even if his computer didn't crash
