Restaurants that play trance music
Are there any nice restaurants that play trance music, or am I totally addicted to trance?
I know a lot play house, but I guess trance isn't as appetizing for fude...
Cheers
Corona.. i think.. but it's a crapy place.. it's down by ronczezwelz.. and.. queen... is it.. not too sure..
where Entrance was .. thye might play some if.. they get a dj.. whos would come out and play.. but cuz of there manegment being sorta unorginized.. notmany ppl like going there.. to dj.. or anything.. and the local dj there.. i dont know if he can spin that well...
as for the food.. no idea never went there for food..
i think it's more of a bar.. but i might be wrong

ha, never thought of that. i haven't seen any restaurants that plays trance, that's probably because trance is too danceable and it's hard to sit down and listen to it, especially when you're eating. hell, if i were to operate a restaurant i wouldn't play trance either, but play breakbeat, britpop or trip-hop, depending on the restaurant's atmosphere. bars and pubs may play trance, but in a country like Canada, it's more likely to hear "canEHdian r0cK" in a pub.
Last week I was @ Cafe 521 on Danforth with a few friends and we were all shocked to hear trance, and it wasn't mainstream at all. Some of the tunes we couldn't identify. But it's not a DJ and it was the first time I heard it there.. The place is really cool anyhow.
wells..
it's not exactly a restaurant.. but Midnite Oil up at Steeles and Warden play trance off mp3's. These place is more of a cafe/lounge but it'z all good. Caters more toward the Asian crowd tho but they won't bark at you if you're not.
Surprisingly Just Dessert in Fairview Mall used to play trance alot last year...
cus my friends were working there~
I don't know about now though.
Oh... Just Desert isn't quite a restaurant...

Hmm too bad trance is too good to play in restaurants
Thanks to all that replied...
and I've been up to Midnite Oil before :P I am asian... BBT and all that is my thing, but I tend to think that I'm shying away from it because I've lost most of my Chinese friends.
I actually find that trance sometimes can suit the mood when you eat. But I guess it's more the progressive house styles..
I was in Europe last year and a lot of restaurants played trance... even the catchy Played-a-live by Safri Duo invigourated my appetitie while waiting for the fude to be served!
Cheers

Oh shit, serbian crew disputing over the 521... uh-oh! There's gonna be trouble...

Soon

I can't tell, but hopefully within a year there will be something that is 24 hours and plays strictly trance that is a restaurant/cafe.
(NOT a club just so you know)

A place where Ambient Arek, Progressive Eso, and Uplifting Ziggy
with their crew chill on queensway and 427 called Williams. It is
a bit of a gino hang out but what isn't these days. They play a bit
of trance on their little speakers. I think the owner likes it or
something
One thing I respect about the place is the fact that they have give you lemons on the side of your tea.

not a restaurant, but store with crazy trance
I hook up a good friend of mine with trance all the best stuff, and he plays it everyday at buffalo jeans store in promenade, so if you need clothes, go there, talk about trance, listen to trance, buy clothes. The best way

... You should have given them heavy metal.. knowing them, they will like it only because it's being played in there.
Blahhhhh...
That's why I said "what are you trying to do"... no offence.. I just wish Trance was still underground and the people are truly in love with it will keep their love for it underground. I know Im going to get burned for this.. I just wish Trance wasn't played so non-chalantely... I wish gino's would just stick with their freestyle.. Im just angry because lately I've been really notice how trance is blowing up on all the commercial radio stations. I heard "days go by" and "Wild Strawberries - Wrong to let you go (trance version" on 104.5 FM AT MY WORK! ... Because it's in... it'sg etting airplay everywhere...
Under the Sun up in Richmond Hill on yonge st was playing Tiesto, In Search of Sunrise 3 when i was there last week. it could just have been b/c of whoever was working that nite, i dont know, but it was great.
it's more of a dessert place tho, but they do have food. also they have flavoured tobacco that u smoke out of hookas. they call it shisha. it's wonderful, u should check it out!
