first two tracks are diiiiirty - the rest are nice, but the flow restarts massively after and takes a while to build.

it sounds like a live pa or mebbe something done with ableton, not a dj set.

summary: listen to the first two tracks

Vincenzo - Return of The Sha

And I'm guessing the second track is "Oleg Poliakov - Rainy Dayz".

What are you talking about!? These are some pretty nice deep house tracks! And a really good set.. Not all music has to be annoyingly out of control and loud.

relax man. the mixing (mixing of layers, reverb, all that shit - not the transition) of these two tracks doesnt feel tight.

Oh .. um, k?? .... But really?? I heard the whole set , and it sounds like it flowed well together -- and I don't see what you mean by it's not well mixed. Can you explain more? It's not like he dropped from one track to another (which is what Abelton users do, Deadmau5 - Apollo Vandetta - etc . ) those guys just go straight from one track to the next .. This mixed sound like alot of the transitions were done realtively slowly.

songs are produced by creating layers and then "mixing" them together. one of the final parts of production is called "mixdown," where you combine all the separate elements of a track into a version that combines percussion, bassline, melody, other lil noises, etc.

for example, the percussion in a track is composed of a kick, over top of which are snares, hi-hats, tom-toms, cowbells, etc. you have to "mix" these elements together so that they dont clash or interfere with each other.

these two tracks:

Vincenzo - Return of The Sha
Oleg Poliakov - Rainy Dayz

did not sound well-mixed to me in terms of the production - independent of the dj set. the transition from one to the other in the AJ Guerra mix was truly good, and i would have like the set more if the third track kept up the energy the first two set up.

but dont listen to me, ambient music is my shiet. edm is something i got out of a long time ago and only listen to occasionally now
