Giuseppe Ottavini Live setup

hey there

A couple of weeks ago I went to a Giuseppe Ottaviani show, and now I'm wondering if someone know how is his setup?

I saw a couple of Mac and an M-audio controler, does anybody knows what his full set up is?

Ive worked with him a few times- his old tech rider (in my inbox dated 2008) I have attached below- it hadn't changed that much when i worked with him most recently which was a few months ago...

2 macs running ableton + a bit of logic audio, and lots played live.
He used to use the full size novation nova for gigs but now uses a full size weighted midi controller and some smaller controllers with most of the sounds coming from macs.
IIRC he had a synth with him last time, but I cant remember what it was...
He mixes it all himself (hence the desk on the rider) and the desk output just gives a stereo L/R feed and a monitor L/R feed if the venue has a FOH desk.
If not he just gives a L/R feed which plugs into a spare line input on the DJ mixer and he looks after the monitors himself.

On top of that he is a really nice guy

wow, thanks for the pic and info, very interesting...

giuseppe is probably my favourite trance dj, and (having met him from the crowd-side) seems like a really nice guy as well...

huge props to him for being the only 'live' guy i've seen ever set up his own rig as well... the few times i've seen him he's always been on stage an hour early setting everything up for himself, unlike pvd for example who has his minions do all the work then struts on stage and hits play on ableton...

Great!! thanks for the info.
I have had the chace to talk with him just two minutes in the club and you're right he seems to be a nice guy.

After his show meanwhile Stoneface & Terminal were on the decks he was disassembled his setup by himself.

Thanks again for the reply now I know a little what he was doing on stage.
