Top 3 tracks post 2000 ish
You can only list 3. Can be any genre of EDM . Doesn't have to mean your all time top 3. Just what ever comes to mind. I know it is futile to put your all time so just put 3 that you really like.
Out of The Blue - Ferry Corsten -
one of the first trance tracks with a nice phat backbeat on 2 and 4 with a nice snare. I always hated claps by themselves. This is the ultimate ending song for any mega rave. One of the few tracks in major that doesn't suck or sound corny.
Alex Bartlett Amnesia - SHOKK remix.
I loved all their tracks(SHOKK) until they broke up. They made songs that should be played from start to end. Great arrangements and sound design.
Stupid Disco - Junior Jack
( don't ask ) catchy sexy and energetic. The video is awfull and most people would say this is what ruined house.
Element Four - Big Brother 12" mix
Deniro - State Of Mind
Body Shock - Full Moon
I was in my trancier phase during this era, so there is a definite theme here.
Luminary - Amsterdam (smith & pledger mix)
This was a great example of a track that was trance without resorting to the typical supersaw sounds. Great arrangement, great vocal, and great energy. This was the peak of the Anjuna sound for me, as after this point they really started getting formulaic.
Smith & Pledger - Forever
Another great vocal track from these guys. Again, trancy without a supersaw. Great use of musical elements, reminding me of what vocal trance USED to be like.
Evbointh - One Wish
The lead sound in this track still gives me chills. Great example of how a few simple elements can really have an impact. I'm think this guy blew up with this track and was never heard from again.
Honorable mention:
Shmuel Flash - Chilling Moments
This really defined an era for me. Great atmosphere and use of the old "vocal wailing" that got popular for a while with tracks like Cass - Glad I Ate Her. Progressive Trance as it was meant to be. Simple, yet effective and elegant, which was the case for most of Bedrock's early releases.
Planishphere - Hosanna
Such energy in this track and the vocal sample is off the hook. Does a great job of creating an atmosphere. I later found out this was our good friend Lolo who did this track under his Planisphere alias.
Michael Cassette - Shadows Movement
Track of the year for me and a lot of others back in 2007/2008. Such a simple melody, yet it worked so well. Michael Cassette seemed to bring a touch of the 80's to everything they did, which made it sound even cooler for me.
Quivver - Brothers and Sisters
This track is lush and mystical in a way that most tracks aren't. The one big thing about this track is that it has more dynamics than most other commercial tracks and it sounds much more magnificent for it. The drums sound elements sounds punchy and carry most of the track, while Quivver sprinkles in elements of atmosphere that let you drift along with the beat. Quivver's use of clever reverb, shifting elements in and out, adds additional depth to the sense of atmosphere. It's track like this that sing in contest of limiting contests that everyone else seems to be caught up in. This track is everything that trance could be, but isn't.
Cosmicman - I Love You
This track isn't a polished diamond, but the catchy melodies carry it all the way through.
Pyrda - Melo
This track blows me away while listening to it on my parents Bose home theater system. The only thing that makes me stop moving is wearing myself out. The massive drum hits still manage to sit in with all of the other elements very clearly. A solid build of groove along side a rush of frenzied energy in the choruses make this a tune to push your feet.
L.E.D. There Be Light - Rank 1
I'll probably get over it in a week or two but right now at this moment I'm addicted to this song.
Satellite - Oceanlab
Vocals.
(can't think of a third one)

Tiesto Ft. Kristy Herkshaw - Walking On Clouds (Original Mix)
Believe it or not old school Tiesto productions were actually the shit; this track was one of the ones that got me into trance. That vocal is sick and that lead arpeggio is awesome! If only all of his productions could have been as good as Just Be...
Eluna - Severance (Markus Schulz vs. Elevation Remix)
My favorite big bassline track. Vintage Markus Schulz.
JOOP - On Top Of Things (Original Mix)
This track has my favorite leads of all time in it. When the beat kicks back in after the break that bassline and the lead in combination just make you want to break your neck!
1. Amoeba Assassin - Piledriver (Grayed Out Summer Mix)
2. Sound Fiction - Alive (Mike Shiver's Catching Sun Mix)
3. Cary Brothers - Ride (Blake Jarrell Remix)
1) SolarStone - Seven Cities (Original mix)
I dont think I can personally find a tune that encapsulates trance for me at all, this has got it all.
2)Accadia - Into the dawn (Club mix)
Great progression and I love the plucky synth at the breakdown , its a 8 minute monster.
3)Airbase - Genie(Original mix)
Great progression and a simple but oh so effective main lead.
Other favorities:
Tiesto-Suburban train
Mandrake-Universal soul (H&J Remix)
Olmec Heads-Spritualized
Tillman Urmacher-On the run(Ocean2Shore mix)
Altitude-Altitude(S.H.O.K.K Remix)
And finally.......
Yoji Biomehanika - Theme from Banginglobe
Oh and P.S , you said 2000 ish , im sorry if i take the ish part to seriously , by say a few years :-)

1. Marco V - Simulated
2. PQM - You Are Sleeping (Luke Chable Vocal mix)
3. Nathan Fake - The Sky was Pink (James Holden mix)
no particular order
Some interesting taste here. I could mention about 500 tracks, but a couple of my favourites are:
Chicane - Saltwater (or the whole album)
Aphex Twin - Windowlicker (Actually 1999)
Ellen Allien and Apparat - Rotary (or the whole album)
Eric Prydz - Call On Me
Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme
Steve Angello - Voices (Eric Prydz Remix)
I have so many good memories of the time when these songs came out. I had just finished high school and it was like the whole world was opening up.
I'm also a big fan of the Prydz Voices remix. Good stuff!
Insigma - Open Your Eyes
Schiller - Das Glockenspiel (Humate Mix)
Pete Lazonby - Sacred Cycles (Quivver Mix)
hate to narrow it down to 3 tbh, was painstaking
Mekka - Diamondback gets an honourable mention
Chicane - Halcyon (Orignal Mix)
In my mind, this is the kind of music I want to make, and I'm struggling to get to lol. But I love this song, it's my favorite track of all time. I wish it would get some love it deserves.
Gouryella - Tenshi (Original Mix)
If I did epic trance all the time, I'd want it to come out like this. Euphoric yet very danceable, crazy good bassline with a simple melody lead. This is yet, another favorite of mine.
Daft Punk - Digital Love
Love this track, don't exactly know why but I think it's something about the simple verse in the beginning that makes it pretty neat. Plus it's Daft freakin Punk. No more need be said.
