Satan (eek!) Review: Halloween Havoc with Hector Romero at Footwork

In the roll call I said I hate halloween... But that was AMAZING

Halloween rocks

Johnny White was in a few too many directions for me but for the most part was waayyyyyy better than I expect and got the crowd moving.

Hector! Wow! that was so much fun. I really had low expectations, I thought he would be super boring. But that whole room was going off dancing and bumping and moving. He was on fire.

Sick sick vibe

Crazy booth magic.

Lol

I think I feel a bit drunk still.

Amazing <3

Real review later

Jester I love Halloween!

Yeah - I have to say, it was really, really good times. Fantastic people, and having the booth was super key (Thanks to Jon & The Footwork Crew).

Musically, there were some really high moments - though for me, it was predominantly just slightly better than average, which was fine with me. It was a generally great vibe though, with lots of really nice organic sounding house music that I was feeling for sure. Also, I was digging some of the tribal feel at certain points.

Lots of great costumes around. Sadly, so many people without costumes (I mean, come on - it's one day out of the year people ) But all in all a great Halloween. Super glad I didn't get dragged out to guv!

A last minute decision for me to come out to this...

So glad I came out...Hector put out some banging tunes and nice build-ups to pair up with! Saw some interesting costumes too!

I left on the earlier side...but I could imagine how crazy it was when I left...good times overall!

I was out at Footwork, in the bathrobe. Just another day at the spa

Security there was great, definitely professionals!

Wicked time last night!

The vibe was great and Hector just rocked it, some really great tunes!

haha yeah, actually realized once my friend and I got there that the matching costumes made us look like a couple.

Nope were both straight, not that it matters FW had a really open atmosphere. Both my friend and I did get LOTS of compliments from guys tho, and a few girls too...

We did notice a lot more guys start to get there after about 230, is FW more of a gay atmosphere usually?

i was SO happy with the turn out, and thanks for all my friends who came and made my night unforgettable!!! Thanks to Jon for hooking me up with the booth, it was nice to have my friends all together and to be able to see the DJ at all time (usually im stuck behind someone taller than me, cause most people are taller than me haha). Good music and good vibe ... oh how i love footwork sad this weekend is over .

oh... and who ever was Peter from family guy... that was the best haha

Posted by VolumE_TO on Nov-02-2009 19:22:

wow what a night!

This was one of my favourite nights at footwork ever! music was great, crowd was great, and the booth was amazing thanks to those who made that happen

Jeff you are my Hero for playing the chab remix of two full moons and a trout... that made my night! Simple Jack helped too. Great set all around I really enjoyed it.

you're best to just add "John Mitchell" to Facebook, he's the club photographer who took those shots...

Ahhh same John who played at Wow/wtf 2 I think? Met him outside cool dood.

As for this I wish I had made it, barely got into work as is Sun morning. Ugh. lol

Posted by Cribby on Nov-03-2009 19:12:

I had a great drunken time, but left fairly early to brace myself for the morning. Lots of wicked costumes and good looking people! Hector's first hour was bumpin' good fun, with some saxy tracks.. he bored me with lots of filler generic tracks after that unfortunately. My expectations were really high after catching him @ Stereo earlier this Fall.

Posted by Geoffb3 on Nov-03-2009 20:29:

So Footwork for Gimlis birthday and Halloween - It was a pretty great combination of Music, Amazing Friends, and creepy fun times. I got there just before the place started to get really packed. Jonny White was playing honestly this was not doing it for me at all, there was one very clear moment where the style of his set changed with no real transition through and then like 30 minutes later back again for no real reason which completely through me off anyways it just made it to choppy.
As for Hector! Never really bothered to listen to much, and I decided to let it be a surprise. And it was pleasant. It drew me in more and more as time went on, with some really great tracks, I look forward to seeing him again as from what I heard he could still do better. I left shortly around 3ish to get ready for zone.
Buy a big thanks goes out to everyone that was apart of our night.
And as well thank you to Footwork for providing us with our own space

Edit: I also wish i had stayed for Jeff's Set ... I heard it was good!

Ok . Well after looking at John Mitchells Photos. I have to say something although Tara already did. PLEASE LEARN TO FOCUS .
John. Unlike some photographers you can actually take a picture of some ones face, however its kind of useless when theyre all blurry no? These are truly horrible and do not depict the fun crazy night that it was more of a disaster. Also really 9 pictures of 85 are of skulls with glowing eyes really? Sorry this should most likely go in a pm however Im just stuck asking REALLY?!?!?!? /rant
