What's the story behind these tracks?

"Vernon's Wonderland" or "Wonderer" by Vernon is released on Eye Q in 1993 (discogs). It's written by A.C. Boutsen , Stevie Be-Zet, and Vernon Jerome Price.

Brainchild - Symmetry (C Mix) appears on Eye Q in 1994 (discogs). Brainchild is just A.C. Boutsen, real name Matthias Hoffman.

It seems that some version of the original Vernon's Wonderland had vocals on it, as Vernon is listed as a writer but not a producer of the track. So Eye Q changed the alias and title and re-released the instrumental the next year?

I heard the Vernon track via this Sven Vath set from 1993

That's correct. The original vocal version also apeared on the 1993 album "Without resolution: no peace".
