V the new series
Big fan of the original tv series, was wondering if anyone watch that crap tonight, I refused!!!
the original was crap and if the world had your mindset we never would've had BSG.
oh, and repost.
The original was excellent at the time and why would you go through life with such a ridiculously closed mind?
The pilot was absolute fail, it took 55 minutes for it to even get remotely interesting. I'll give it another episode, but honestly it's pretty terrible. Also Scott Wolf is terrible.

I thought he was good in GO (damn good movie BTW). His reaction when they hit the girl with the car was pretty realistic.

have you finished BSG sushi?
Hmmmm... this show does have a little Hope-and-Changey feel to it, no?

| Imagine this. At a time of political turmoil, a charismatic, telegenic new leader arrives virtually out of nowhere. He offers a message of hope and reconciliation based on compromise and promises to marshal technology for a better future that will include universal health care. The news media swoons in admiration -- one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: ``Why don't you show some respect?!!'' The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader's origins and intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: ``Embracing change is never easy.'' So, does that sound like anyone you know? Oh, wait -- did I mention the leader is secretly a totalitarian space lizard who's come here to eat us? Welcome to ABC's V, the final, the most fascinating and bound to be the most controversial new show of the fall television season. Nominally a rousing sci-fi space opera about alien invaders bent on the conquest (and digestion) of all humanity, it's also a barbed commentary on Obamamania that will infuriate the president's supporters and delight his detractors.... |
The story line reminds me of what david icke views on the world. David icke is a nut who believes the world is run by lizards from another dimension.

I loved the choonz in the 4th season of BSG..just badass.
Just watched the first episode of the new series and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It helps greatly that Elizabeth Mitchell is in the show. She is one of my favorite actresses and one of my favorite characters on Lost.
On that note it is good to see the Losties getting some roles in new shows with Penny and Charlie on FlashForward and Boon on Vampire Diaries.
I thought the episode was ok but it seems they are really rushing things. I think it would have been much better being a 2 hour premier to show what happens during the 3 weeks that pass during the episode. They should have shown more of what the aliens are actually doing to gain the devotion and respect of the masses. Instead we get a few words about healing centers being opened up, a hitler youth of humans joining them in response, and the resistance starting among a few people who know the truth..all in less than one hour. It seemed very rushed.
