about time that radio station sucked anyway

Posted by The Vza on Nov-05-2009 02:05:

i think its sad that another radio station bites the dust. maybe they played a lot of cheese but it wasnt all bad. I definitely heard sander's track riff on that station late night before. And that alone made it ok in my book. sucks they couldnt get any ad revenues. oh well i guess. maybe it really is time to get that sirius xm subscription

if you get it its cheap they have prepaid subscription card at bestbuy and radio shack only like 20 bucks to 50 or 60 which isnt bad i have to install mine back into my truck

Can't say I listened to it much. I did try a couple times but whenever I tuned it they were playing commercial garbage.

Posted by Stef on Nov-05-2009 14:21:

Yeah they had some cool minimal thing going on at like 3am once, otherwise shit was so weak...

It's never a good thing to have EDM come off the radio. Let's face it, we've all at some point or another enjoyed a song that others would deem "cheesey". You never know if the people digging Pulse would eventually dive deeper into EDM, and perhaps found the kind of stuff we love here. Hopefully another dance music station will emerge soon, so that the music remains accessible for the masses, but for now XM Radio is where it's at.

I have to agree, if anyone remebers "Solid State" on K-Rock with Liquid Todd, that show definitely had a major influence on me getting in to EDM.

But, I still hope I never hear Infinity again.

Don't worry guys. Party 105 has taking over the frequency thus Vic Latino is back on the air!

he left FM Radio to go to Satellite and now he is back on FM...he couldn't hack wit Satellite.

Too many junk radio stations that play the same crap. This is a push for me to get satellite radio... or get an ipod connector in my car.

pulse sold out to mainstream long ago anyway. they were good when they first started, but soon sold out and started playing mostly top 40. we've got it hard here! when i was living in london, there were like 3-4 stations that played REALLLL EDM. should've seen the look on my face when i turned on a radio the first time and heard 'next track by sasha!' that's something we needa have here!

Pulse 87 = KTU #2 to me. Im glad the signal wasnt good out here in Central Jersey anyways.

Yeah that guy is a real jerk. I didn't even know he was still around. Thank God for satellite radio, I just can't go wrong when I'm tuning in every week to some of my favorite djs'. It's a damn shame that Dj Preach's, and Victor Dinaire's radio show got knocked off when sirius took over XM. Every week those guys were delivering sick sets. It's too bad when guys like Tiesto and Armin have tons of good material sent to them every day and yet they play alot of garbage on their shows. I'm still trying to figure that out. Tiesto is weak during his first hour and amazing during the second. He's usually delivers a good first hour set every 3-4 weeks. But, it feels like every week you gotta hope that you get lucky. It's like these industry people got it backwards. One gut they need to put on their payroll is Sander van Doorn, his Identity Mix is insane!!!

Pulse 87 NY

Apparently its back, had a whole bunch of messages this mornings from my friend's facebook group, just online though.

www.pulse87ny.com

One of the messages I got said it might be back on the dial soon? Has anyone heard anything. In any case its good news, one step closer to actually getting anything close to AREA (Sirius) over FM.

Liked seeing Armin Van Buuren and Tiesto as their videos of the day on the site. Maybe theyll start playing more trance. Maybe.

Posted by Excess on Feb-16-2010 17:26:

haha they have andy duguid's wasted on their video picks. good song, too bad it's wrongly mislabeled as a tiesto production
