Took 3 years off, and need some advice!
Ok so I dropped outta the scene for 3+ years, and have things changed. When I left cdj/digital djing were on the rise. I left playing only vinyl. Anyway, long story short, I'm trying to get my shit back in order, and need some adive. Do I incorperate cdjs and get a program like traktor, or continue to use vinyl with a program like traktor??? CDJ's have taken clubs by storm, and it seems only right to go with the flow, and atleast get one cdj. Any advice, besided fuck cds, vinyl for life. lol....I used to be like that!!

I was literally in your position about a month ago. What I did was get a pair of techs and a xone 4d...you have the best of both worlds. I'm running Ableton Live for pure xone 4d digital sets, and then I also have Traktor Scratch Pro with the DVS running on my techs so you still get to mix the "old fashioned way" with a touch of digital freedom.
I find this is the right balance for me and leaves room to grow into a pure ableton or pure traktor scratch as I figure out what my preferences are.
Things haven't really changed all that much
Edit:
For what it's worth I'll be putting up a review of both my xone 4d and my experience switching from cdjs to now vinyl (with DVS) after 2 years out of the scene. Stay tuned for that and perhaps it may influence your decision.
I appreciate the feedback! I still have most of my eq; decks, headphones, and vinyl. My next step will prolly be a xone 32 or 42 and traktor with my vinyl, as laptop based djing seems to be the future. Not a huge fan of laptop based djing for the simple fact the i strongly agree it takes away from the crowd interaction, but thats a discussion for another time and day.
spawn, keep me up to date!
ps, how it the delay time, if any between traktor and viny?
