Eye floaters

So yeah, it snowed today, and because all of this white stuff all over I started to notice the floaters on my eyes again and decided to make thread about it!

They appeared about when I was 14 as my eyes started to get bit myopic. I started to see these little cell like opaque dots and kind of webs formed by them. At first I was really annoyed(especially after doctor told me that theyre not harmful and I just shouldn't mind them) by these ******s, moving where ever I looked at, but eventually learned to live with it and to not bother about them...

So who else has them?

Oh and

Actually I didn't intend to post any video, but I decided to do so because I wasn't happy with the first post and thought that it would draw the attention from the poor construction of it.

I have a lot of eye floaters...they piss me off. I try and play games with them and follow them around

I leave floaters to public toilets, just for fun.

WebMD lists Hydrochloric acid as the best remedy.

Posted by beersANDblunts on Nov-05-2009 20:36:

fuck i have soo many and i hate it!!

Posted by enydo on Nov-05-2009 20:36:

I got some.

Posted by beersANDblunts on Nov-05-2009 20:39:

ive actually had a major increase in the number of floaters i have recently , so I am afraid because apparently that could mean serious problems. I booked a opthamology appointment but it was 2 weeks until I can get in! now i am paranoid

Posted by enydo on Nov-05-2009 20:41:

Probably a good idea.

I talked with my doctor the last time I was there, and he told me unless you notice a sudden drastic increase in the number of them, it's usually harmless. Doesn't hurt to have your eyes checked though, sight is pretty important.

now is as good time as any to stop doing acid, kids.

Posted by beersANDblunts on Nov-05-2009 20:54:

havent done acid in years. plus acid can give you visual snow and hppd , not floaters. get your facts straight

yeah, my left eye has one. only notice it on bright backgrounds though. i dont remember when it first appeared, i just assumed id gotten hot cig/pot ash in my eye.

Posted by tubularbills on Nov-05-2009 23:36:

i only notice them when there's a lot of snow on the ground. so not too often, but man they get annoying!

Posted by Omega_Blue on Nov-06-2009 00:06:

yeah, i've had 'em since i was a little kid, i thought i was crazy at first. nowadays they've gotten a bit worse from eye damage from my job, but i only notice them if i pay attention to them.

Posted by daydreamer on Nov-06-2009 01:21:

i got them in my early twenties

at least this is when i started noticing them

they are annoying as feck

stupid doctors with the: just learn to live with them. they should eventually go away. he said. still waiting....

apparently there is surgery for it
but not recommend it, as they could really feck up things there.

i went to the doctor last week and this is what they told me

if you suddenly see a big increase in them, BAD
if you start seeing a BIG one and get headaches REALLY BAD
if you start seeing a wall of black come over your eyes. GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM NOW.

so yeah.
otherwise i have eagle eye vision. My right eye is ace, i can even see well in the dark.
the left one gives me troubles.

Eye floaters are such a funny part of nature. I've got a couple in/on my right eye that I've had for as long as I can remember. It's funny how when you try and look at them they float away

The fuck are eye floaters?

Edit: I can safely say I've never had an "eye floater" before in my life.

Posted by yukii on Nov-06-2009 05:00:

hah, i've had that as long as i can remember... i never told anyone when i was little because i thought it was insignificant, i thought it was rain or something inside my eye ball

Posted by Lomeli on Nov-06-2009 05:58:

When I used to smoke a lot of weed I would get them all of the time. It was the worst when I was in direct sunlight.
