Looked like an epic evening
As cool as that club is, and it's pretty damn cool...why would they EVER do Monday Night Social there? Totally goes against everything Monday Night Social is

| Originally posted by tootypie I concur. MNS used to be my favorite event of the week. Went twice since they changed venues, and I don't plan to go back. It doesn't have the same vibe as Nacional had. Miss the old MNS a lot. |

No way, Playhouse was a very refreshing change of pace. Nacional was getting run-down. As long as the music is good, that's all that matters to me.

I'm guessing, once you start a business, you have to be fiscally responsible to stay in business, and to constantly think of ways to grow as a business. They need to make money, take up new opportunities and risks to stay in the business of throwing parties. Obviously they're pulling in more patrons at Playhouse, they're selling more at the bar, they have a great venue, and they're throwing a good party from the looks of it. I've yet to go to Playhouse, the Behrouz MNS might be a night to check out.
I was Freddy's promoter for 6 years. Back to the Las Palmas days...which was my favorite venue for sure. National is being converted into something kinda different, so he won't be going back. Believe me, Freddy would love to be able to keep the "MNS" vibe, but he was lucky to have a spot, and a nice one, to move to when they couldn't use National any more. I don't like the vibe of the place either, but it will allow him to bring in some bigger talent. You think Sharam is playing at National? And from a business stand point, that's good thing. It's a nice venue to have wrapped up for a weekly. It's time for MNS to grow, and Playhouse is not the worst thing that could have happened to my favorite weekly of all time. I'm glad it's working out there, even if it isn't the same MNS we all grew to love.
