Hello from Noob

Hey all,

Am new here, just wanted to say hello. I am a pianist/keyboard player and have been dabbling in audio production for a little while now. Thought i'd check out a trance forum as I am going to attempt to write and produce a few of my own tracks. I may as well come clean and admit that growing up I listened to all types of music but mainly rock/metal , however, as I mentioned I have an appreciation for all styles from classical to death metal.

cheers,

madmuso

hello madmuso

thanks mate,

I forgot to ask something in my first post. I was wondering if someone can recommend some really high quality drum/rhythm sample library's specific to trance. I'm not after loops, just one shot samples, kicks, snares, etc.

thanks again,

madmuso

welcome.

what software do u use?

Posted by madmuso on Nov-08-2009 04:22:

cool thanks, will check out vengeance.

Software: Nuendo, Reason, Ableton.

I havent used Reason for years and I bought ableton a couple years back but never really needed to use it. I mainly bought reason and ableton cause of the fringe benefits ($$) of working in a music store at the time.

Hi madmuso and welcome to TA!

I highly recommend checking out the Wave Alchemy and Thomas Penton samples. Also, keep an eye out for sales at Resonant Vibes - they've been running 50% of sales on all of their samples on a pretty regular basis over the past few weeks. They don't carry Vengeance, but they do carry Wave Alchemy, Thomas Penton, Loopmasters, Bluezone (also highly recommended), etc. Unfortunately, most sample packs these days do come with loops, but also plenty of one-shots and there are some packs containing no loops out there (see the Wave Alchemy website). Good luck!

Northern Suburbs in Melbourne. Gee, there does seem to be a few Aussies here, didnt notice that before!

Dont know about eating Roo meat though, haha, chicken and beef is as far as I'll go. I've had horse meat put in front of me but wasnt keen on that! Then again, if God didn't want us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat?
