It feels like Swamper's interest towards the site has faded gradually. The mod thing has been a problem for years and he hasn't done much to sort it out. This is one of the reasons the site has gone to shit. The quality of conversation has dropped as no one gives a shit anymore. It's all just random bullshit now and people being pricks towards each other. I feel that the site could improve loads with proper moderation.

1. He's probably a busy guy. You have no idea about his personal situation. He could be looking after a severely ill family member or working 80 hour weeks.

2. He's providing a website to you free of charge, you should be thankful.

3. He raised the topic and will get to it in due time.

4. Why does it matter? Why are moderators needed so badly? The site operates fine for me and isn't overly choked with spam.

Past that I think the sifting through thousands of post before you find something worthwhile is part of the fun of being here. The only thread that seems devoid of any bullshit is the "Post a pic of your setup" thread.

Theres a fine line between moderating a forum and dictating what/how and who can be talked about/to.

No the setup thread has pages of body building nutrition advice in it at one point.

There is also periodic trolling of TA when certain people seem to come along and turd here becuase they've got bored of 4chan and /b/ and we really need that shit moderated too.

There's enough people on this forum who know this forum well enough and who would be happy to be a mod and are perfectly capable to be able to judge when a subject is getting too far off or turning in to shit. it's really not that hard.

It'll happen mate, just be patient. If he wants to take some time in choosing the right people for the job, then so be it. I'd rather have him do that, instead of quickly picking people that will do a crap job at it, then have to go through all this again in a year's time.

He also might have a life outside this forum, and might be busy at the moment
