As the resident linguist, I'd like to state that there's nothing unabnormal about irregardless. It's not unusual to see a word lose its original meaning and then have extra morphemes conveying the same meaning added to it, no matter how redundant.

For example, I don't think anyone here would mind if someone said they had "other alternative/another alternative" to a problem. Yet, the world "alter" already means "other" so you're being as redundant as someone that says irregardless regardless of the sufix -less.

The problem is that ************ isn't a word. Irrespective or regardless are the choices.

Of course it is a word! It's not recognised by any serious dictionary, that's right, but if it failed to be a word, you wouldn't ever know that irregardless is the exaggerated twin of the word regardless

Chukutalakolkanata, on the other hand, isn't a word (as far as I'm aware of)... unless we give it a meaning and start using it from now on.
