I've rendered the intro version and the DJ extended mix, but I figured you guys would rather the intro version.

Wow I really like this track. I think there's too much treble though. I would at least like the kick to be deeper. The intro is great. It definitely sounds like you are keeping a secret from us. I kinda wasn't feeling the little mouse squeak sounds (I can't think a better way to describe them) that came in around 2:40. I could definitely live without them. Is the the speed you wanted to use? I think I would like it a bit faster. But that's just me.
yeah I'm glad you mentioned the bass, I've heard it so many times I cant tell anymore. But I was thinking I need to do the final master on it and bring some more midbass in for the kicks. lol, the little mouse noise isn't supposed to be very loud it just ended up coming out really clear in the mastered mix. I may take the delay off it and stick it in the background more, or gate it and filter it a bit. Glad you like the track though. I think it came out really well.
anyone else? really would like some feedback before this goes to a label
bump?
what are you using for headphones and speakers. you are having a balance issue(way too much highs) its really bad in that department.
im using KRK rockit5 monitors and pioneer HDJ1000 headphones. I'll upload the new version of the track. I mastered that one after like 5 hours of working on music and my ears were tired. I went out for the old "car test" and I was like "WHOA. wtf." I added a second kick drum for some more sub thump on the kicks, and I toned down the mouse noise. I'll upload the new master in a few and you can tell me if its an improvement.
ok i uploaded the new version its at the top under the first render so you can compare... its the full track this time.
here it is again

sounds like a good tune, but theres no dynamics in the midlow to low. bass is bleh.
any tips on getting them to pop? i increased the master EQ on low and midlows a bit and helped a little bit but I am not sure what else I can do to it. It sounds brilliant out of my monitors, but thats always the case eh? lol. Time to go back to the car...
dont take my word for it, maybe others can comment.
your issue that im seeing is how its overall mixed, and would have to be remixed at places.
oh and by the way, you usually get what you give around here. you should comment on others tracks, its not nice to only receive feedback and never give. its not a rule, but courtesy.
ive listened to quite a few actually, I'll start leaving comments. I just figured I'd leave the comments to the more experienced producers than myself. I suppose I can offer personal feelings on the tracks and not as much production advice.
thats what i usually do myself, i dont usually comment too much on the mix, unless something is really off. although there are exceptions and i open my mouth on certain things aha.
Hey i'm feeling what a lot of the other people around here have to say, your track is good but the mixdown needs some work. I actually like the mouse like squeeks a lot, maybe turn them down a little. I was contemplating buying the rockit 5 speakers but the guy in that audio department told me that the mid-low mix sounds rather bland on them, and this seems to be one of the problems you're having. maybe try to look for a more 'flat' monitor system to mix it on, or tell the people mastering it to bring those frequencies out more!
overall, its a nice track. you've got some really good vibes going on there.
thats what some people are also saying klein, the mid on the krks are not the best, i was thinking about them, but passed. i leave the mids for my headphones, and the bass mostly on my hifi for now. not the most accurate, but will do until i get some serious monitors, like genelec or adams.
