quick question about digital cable
say you're living on the west coast and you want a certain local news channel from the east coast, is this possible?
No its not. You are looking for dishnetwork satellite and for an Nfusion FTA receiver.
Is the news available online? I know the station here streams the news live at noon, 4 and 5.
Cable companies have no reason to carry these channels. So, as KE said, no. You have to hit up satellite for it.
UH its totally possible, you have to get the timeshift pack. you can watch maritimes or vancouver or toronto ctv/global

DirecTV has east and west coast feeds of ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS and (I think) CW/WB/whatever the hell it's called now.

My opinion isn't actually completely bullshit lol. I had cable for two years, then went to satellite for two years, and am now back to cable. Better content delivery, better quality, better reliability, and a lot cheaper.
Though I think a lot of the debate can change based on where you live and what you want the service for.

That's why that is all in my experience
I've had both, and in my opinion, the cable has better quality. I'm sure other people have had it the opposite.
Cable has 'on demand'
Satellite has 'on delay' ... lolololol
FIOS TV > ALL
well obviously FIOS is the best! but who really can get FIOS! i know I cant, but if I could I would be the first to sign up

Better content delivery? That sounds like something you read off their website.
