say you're living on the west coast and you want a certain local news channel from the east coast, is this possible?

Cable companies have no reason to carry these channels. So, as KE said, no. You have to hit up satellite for it.

I agree with him on a content delivery based aspect, but satellite has better sports and international selections.

My opinion isn't actually completely bullshit lol. I had cable for two years, then went to satellite for two years, and am now back to cable. Better content delivery, better quality, better reliability, and a lot cheaper.

Though I think a lot of the debate can change based on where you live and what you want the service for.

Quality is debatable. It is pretty much the same when you compare apples to apples.

I've had both, and in my opinion, the cable has better quality. I'm sure other people have had it the opposite.
