you know the germans are just as bad i'm realizing this. my boss is german and her parents own the place and live in germany so we get a lot of german customers. and our competors own the 2 properties next door and they used to manage this place and lease it from my boss for the last 10 years and they're also german... and man they nickel and dime each other to death ever since my boss took over and they're trying to sort out who owes what and bla bal bla.

i was standing in line at the grocery store behind this huge black guy who asked if he could get a discount on the roasted chicken since it was the last one left (why does that warrant a discount? you should be happy you got to it before they were all gone!)... and then he complained that it was all sticky.

You can never refuse these invitations or anything offered at these gatherings because the culture forbids it as taboo to not take anything offered and it is a supreme insult.

I got forced into eating dog this way (it was good too).

On the surface this would seem to be genuine generosity, but the next day they always drop a bomb on you to try and make you do something for less won.
