Fundamental: Feat. Wahi, Dino G, & Chris Walsh @ Vision Dec 19th, 2009

Fun-da-men-tal - serving as, or being an essential part of, a foundation or basis.

Join us for the launch of a brand new night, Fundamental, featuring 3 of Chicago's most prolific DJs / Producers. Together Wahi, Dino G, and Chris Walsh get set to aurally elevate the crowd with a night designed from start to finish to bring you the best dance music around.

In what we have come to know as the ever-changing world of electronic dance music, Wahi is a man on the rise. He resists conforming to genres and refuses to label his work. As a DJ his track selections are often audacious and brazenly fresh, challenging the audience towards expansion of their listening vocabulary as he simultaneously herds them onto the dance floor time and again. With the recent launch of his digital label Curbed Recordings and a residency playing beside some of the best artists in the world at Chicagos Vision night club hes definitely got his hands full. His resume includes opening for the likes of Sasha, James Zabiela, MANDY, Steve Lawler and John Digweed who has been quoted as saying Wahi is set to make a splash."

As a DJ, producer and business owner, Dino G combines his tech-house talent with a knack for turning the entertainment industry on ear. For nearly a decade, he has made a mission of not only bringing premiere underground dance acts to Chicago, Ibiza and beyond, but also playing alongside them on an international stage. When not performing on the decks, Dino G handles business as co-owner of Chicagos acclaimed SpyBar, hosting the venues flagship underground weekly Dino G Presents . . . and showcasing a slew of heavy-hitting, electronic music driven talent. With more musical and financial freedom, Dino G set his eyes on the prize, launching a Friday night weekly that would continually showcase a rotating cast of top international techno and house talent.

Chris Walsh has been a club veteran since the age of 16. Growing up in Chicago at an ideal time, Chris had the privilege of attending Chicago's legendary Medusa's nightclub. Most recently Chris has set his sights back on the recording studio. He has teamed up with engineer Jeremy Coutre, and together they have formed Sangamon Studios. Recently they have put out remixes of Stella Nova's Quiet Nights on Uncommon Chill and Hipservice's Badaboom Badabing on Therapy. Chris and Jeremy have also put out two bootlegs. The first track is called Life originally by Hole in One, and the other is God Put A Smile On My Face by Coldplay. Both have reached the dance floors and club charts of DJ's such as Dave Seaman, Tall Paul, Seb Fontaine, and Dave Ralph.

Be sure not to miss the launch of Fundamental as these 3 get set to bring you some of the best dance music from the past, present, and future along some some great faces and much debauchery. There will be more than enough trouble for everyone to get into...
