Aside from my usual dish of tech, mnml, tech house, trance, tech trance, and deep house; I can definitely still get down to some hardcore, hardcore techno, hard/jumpstyle, jungle, dnb, ragga, dancehall, dubsteb, french electro, list goes on. I love good music basically. I and I love sampling what each respective scene and their crowds have to offer.

Haven't heard hardstyle since I was at the I <3 Techno festival a couple of years ago in Ghent. Of the 5 or 6 rooms, one was dedicated strictly to hardstyle, and I've gotta say, in a room w/6,000 people it was absolutely freaking nuts! I'm not into hardstyle at all really, so it was definitely the room that surprised me the most that I enjoyed (Goose, DJ Ghost, Rush, etc).

As things are now, I definitely don't have the kind of energy required for raves or hardstyle lol. Lately I've been seeking out more and more underground venues for deep house, techno, and deep electro. Some of the best event's I've attended this year have been loft parties and weekday parties in various nooks. Really great sound and music, good crowd, good vibes, no cops, no high drink prices, free admission is where it's at .

I've been much more compelled these days to hit up events headlined by DJs I know nothing about. Most of the time it ends up being really good. Also, there's something really great about not knowing what you're gonna get beforehand. Never would've thought I'd be into any of the stuff I'm into now. Just figured I might still love Armin/PvD after 5 years lol

dubstep is cool, especially when dropped in the middle of techno sets
getting into uk garage just a bit
disco is nice as long as it's not crackie acid disco lol

lol all good

I gotta say if I look back, over the past 10 years, I've gone to way way more rave/warehouse/loft parties than clubs. Always enjoyed the vibe at those kinda parties more than the typical club vibe. I'll mostly go to the clubs for exclusive talent and ignore the usual knuckleheads that fill the clubs, whereas the alternative scenes are more laid back and offer more raw talent imo.

I noticed you asked about other music besides edm. Oddly enough, I produce techno and trance and attend events of this sort, but in my downtime I find myself listening to mostly rock(anywhere from classic to alternative to hardcore punk and metal) and oldschool hip hop.

I love almost every genre in edm. from Trance, tech house, minimal, techno, etc. Just for some reason I could never get into dubstep, I have been to so many debstup parties, but just never found it interesting.

Outside of edm, I love classical music, classic rock, 50's, 60's, and 80's hits. There are some rock groups today that are good, and making great tracks that I listen to. Besides that I like one or two tracks from other genres, like country, rap, hip hop, or pop, but not to many to choose from.

I'm the opposite haha... EDM-wise, techno, minimal, house, and trance parties haven't been doing it for me lately. Dubstep's been peaking my interest these past couple months!
