Bottle Service in Clubs

Yay or Nay?

Posted by LKD on Nov-19-2009 16:52:

I don't mind...I've done bottle service a few times when going to a party in a large group just so that there's a place to reconvene

+1

We did this at Footwork on Halloween with about 20 of us and it was great. While Footwork is small, it was still nice to know where everyone was and offered a nice break from the crowd.

I don't care as long as bottle service space doesn't take over dance floor space

Posted by The Highroller on Nov-19-2009 17:19:

It's fun to do every once in a while, but it's annoying when the only seats in the club are for bottle service, and when bottle service booths obstruct dancefloor space. They should be off to the sides.

It's not the service itself that bugs me. It's the people & mentality it attracts that might not otherwise come. Not to say that everyone that uses it is one of those people.

Isn't that what's happening slowly on Guvs main dancefloor?

Posted by VDub on Nov-19-2009 17:51:

I get a booth every year for my bday/The Gift..

But m with the majority on this issue to keep them off of the dance floor...

I've always said that the only bottle service in the mainroom should be on the stage level and Deluxe lounge...

Bottle Service is ultra GINOism

Like clubs give a shit what we think?

Bottle service is what makes clubs the most money, not you dancing on the dance floor with 1 drink or a bottle of water in your hand all night... (aside from paying cover)

BUT! I do agree that bottle service should be kept a separate area (as it is already in most clubs)

It's great if you have a group though...

You get your own rest spot which is important as well as not having to run to the bar for a drink every 10 mins...

And you save a small amount on the cost of booze...

Yeah totally great if you have a group. Bottle service ftw. It just prevents so many headaches.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Nov-19-2009 18:47:

I can't stand bottle service booths or the people that use them regularly.

Exactly, you actually do save money. Just think about how much we tip at the bar per night?

I always find bottle service costs me way more money than I expect.
I still like it anyways.

how else are you supposed to get some fuckin' goose and mixers?!?!

I dont like bottle service at all

1) it attracts the douchey douches

2) it takes up way too much space... more and more the dancefloor is becoming an after thought

3) it used to be that you could sit down in ANY club for free. Just imagine if industry was open today. The entire back room would be bottle service and probably the stage too. What different club that would have been.

So should we ban bottle service?
