Actually, I can't really stand it either. Except for "My boyfriend is back", I find their sound too slow/not-electronic

Man fuck slow, this shit is uber mind fuck noise-o-rama... Its like pouring hot wax in your ear and then drilling it out!!!

Listen to Aly Walk With Me, that shit is angry as fuck, a great juxtaposition to the lyrics.

There's actually a lot of rich sound here. Nothing interesting, but there's lots of things going on in these songs.

Wow the guitar automatically made me think of From Dusk till Dawn.

The best part is the lyrical content is usually much darker than the sound of the song is.

I had been listening to a bunch of tracks with a friend of mine and he goes "I don't know these songs are too happy, a bit sappy" and I go "are you listening to the lyrics" so the next few songs he really payed attention to them and was like "wtf..."

That 50's twangy early rock sound, combined with shoegaze-ish noise from the 80's and a vocal harmony between the leads which is not unlike the Everly Brothers but with a dark, usually violent sexual theme puts them in a class of their own.

Yea, both of these groups have that Rockabilly sound, its crazy though that they capture such a pure american sound as rockabilly so perfectly and yet they are danish.

One of the best bands I've seen live this year for sure.

But you forgot the best part:

Boys Who Rape is a killer track.

The one that seems to give me that fuzzy endorphine rush though on this album is Breaking Into Cars... Very good.

and Sharin Foo is mad hot...

Posted by Joss Weatherby on Nov-20-2009 04:30:

Also for dark lyrics....

BREAK UP GIRLS!
Bunny girls slapped around
You like boys to control you

Hit me please strike again
Sadistic girls I dont get you

Summer girls mad for love
Unleash hell on yourself

Knife the heart bruised and used
Violent Boys I dont get you

Break up girls you might like it
Break up girls you might like it
Break up girls you might like it
Please please please please

Bunny girls hot for love
Your fur is bloody and torn

Hateful boys alcohol
Your bunnys down and shes out

Cmon girls take a stand
No one hurts you like you do

Pathetic boys fuck you yeah
Off to eternal damnation

Break Up Girls! - The Raveonet...

Break Up Girls is awesome, and I do love their noise tracks, infact thats the thing I like most about them is the noise, Chain Gang of Love and their first album especially, but just the over all flow of breaking into cars, its really just... it just works out really well. Its fun.

*edit*

Also I am about the fifth time through the album. I was kind of on a music break and didn't even notice the album came out till like a week ago.

Same thing happened with Lust, Lust, Lust, which kinda sucked cause the first track on that album basically I needed around that time... Too late!

The new album is good, but Lust Lust Lust is one of my favorites of the decade, to be honest.

I actually think Chain Gang of Love is my favorite, it has a nice theme through out it. If I had to choose an album for the decade though, it would be them, but it would be Pretty in Black, and I only say that because it has the most variation and technical ability on it and the most literate story telling which I think makes it incredibly wonderful.

Honestly, I have to put these two up at the top of my band for the decade, they are the only ones that I can really think of that actually have something unique and special about their sound and their consistency has been spot on. Then again most of my other bands I don't think would even compare, I have pretty random ass taste in bands.
