Ireland vs France bullshit winning goal

I'm surprised Ireland hasn't invaded France over this :P

Posted by TrAnCeiN4LiFe on Nov-21-2009 00:12:

i would be ashamed to win in such way. then again French coach is president of fifa ... so he'll do anything in his power to get his team into WC2010

Posted by LightsOut on Nov-21-2009 00:35:

Ireland has filed a formal complaint with FIFA to have the match replayed....which IMO is the obvious thing to do as it was such a blatant infringement, but i guarentee Blatter turns a blind eye like usual

just shows how corrupt and unfair this sport is. Why are ref's better than cameras? the guys stated themselves the ref didnt see the handball, but most cameras saw the handball in slow motion and can reply it as many times as the user wants.

I'm not into soccer of any sports, but that's pretty BS for sure.

Posted by geroin on Nov-21-2009 01:20:

lol
until they bring video approval to this sport this bullshit will continue.

like in this case, this man should have been disqualified from this sport a long time ago

Posted by Ozmozis on Nov-21-2009 01:24:

Its simple, FIFA is run my corrupt f***heads... that's why FIFA fails...

It is indeed a shame and brings shame to the sport!

Roy Keane, former Ireland captain, would disagree with you. Hilarious video with phones going off.

This is way I love european football. That is a typical classical goal. No shit, the free kick was offside, Henry used his hand and top all of that the referee was on spot
Oh knock it off Irish lad's, yes goal's happen from time to time like that but in my humble opinion it's all meant for a reason so that it can be discussed and impleyed that football rules are still the same old game as it was created over 60 years

and you know its hard to argue with a single word the man said...

Posted by geroin on Nov-21-2009 03:28:

he even admits he used a hand here

henry is still an amazing player though..

Posted by bluE_Neon on Nov-21-2009 03:37:

What hand? That was my wrist
Yeah, he's still the same old Henry but better technically.

stick to american football

what henry did was deplorable, instinct or no instinct. Memories of Maradona came flooding back like a recurrent nightmare.

the match however should not be replayed. by doing this you are setting a precedent for all future controversies. Ref makes a bad call so you REPLAY the game.....no...life is tough. Deal with it.

Gotta feel for the Irish. They played fantastically throughout the campaign.

implement video replay for big matches.. problem solved!

henry didn't do anything wrong, very few players in club or country competitive would walk away and own up instead of playing to the whistle, even in a nothing game let alone a clinch match. intentional or not he didn't move his position as the ball came so it was at least 50% intuitive. mara-'shoryuken'-dona isn't even comparable since noone lifts their fist above their head going for a header without ulterior motive.
