ableton help needed please...

the other flaw i can find with ableton... or maybe the only thing i cant work out is.... if i have a multitimbral synth for example stylus have can i have drums hat prec running on different channels like in logic....cubase...????? saying this i have version 6....has this been fixed...cau its a major short coming...but a i say maybe it is possible and i simply cant work it out

hoping someone can give me some feedback...

Im pretty sure its in the manual somewhere, under track routing perhaps?

Failing that, try searching the ableton forums, its there somewhere

insert the plugin on a channel, then go to track input on another channel, select the channel the plugin's on and the output of that plugin you want.

thanks for reply....i knew the had to be away....im just used to cubase automatical doing the routing....lol

I prefer abletons setup - u just create as many channels as you need. I remember when i used to use cubase, as soon as dropped battery into the project, all these channels would just pop up on the mixer - half of which i didnt even need!
