Who is working today, and who took the day off?
For me... Rebel tonight, then hosting dinner for my family tomorrow. Off from work for the rest of the week and go back on Monday the 30th.
I am thankful for my friends and family.
i'm going to playa del carmen with some friends..i'm thankful for the amount of alcohol i will consume and the nice beaches i will enjoy!
Working til 1 then doing the city thing until late tonight.
May end up at DT tonight
Thanksgiving - 40+ family member celebration, feasting from 1pm-10pm. Touch football, wiffle ball, xbox 360, ps3, wii, dvds and bluray movies all day. 3 TV's, 4 babies running around, 15 kids romping (11-32), 2 kitchens, beer pong, and cards.
Thankful for all of the new experiences in my life with many more to come.
Thankful that I bleed blue but I'm not a crip though
plans would be rebel tonight tomorrow and where ever the morning takes me, tomorrow be in queens with the fam, after that perhaps after thanksgiving festivities over friends
what I am thankful for,
first and for most being alive with good health, a family who supports me in whatever endeavors I partake in. Friends that are there for the good the bad and ugly (as am I for them), and I am thankful for being able to take life with a smile even tho some days aren't as rosie as others but on those days I say to myself there are many people out there in the world who are less fortunate than you are who would kill to have what you have in life. Lastly I am thankful for being employed through this rough reccession
cheers mates an happy thanksgiving!

I am thankful for 2 Thanksgivings.
Bobby is coming to Canada and I am excited to have an extended weekend with him.
Since I will be in NY for Christmas we have a big family celebration on Saturday to celebrate both.
Only downfall is I have to take vacation days while you all just get them off.
Working 1/2 day today. Thankful that I can still party with my Nephews, lol...
Working on the long journey into the city tonight.
Thankful for:
Friends, Food, Pizza (has its own category), and Beer at Roses in Penn Station.
I began to season my Turkey breast last night!! I got Turkey duties this year for my boyfriend and his family. So it's going to be realll nice.

I will be in my apartment, with a lot of liquor, movies & video games, since I'm on call for Saturday & Sunday and didn't have the option of leaving town.
If anyone's interested, here's a dish my family always does for holidays. Requires an Angel Food Cake pan (that doesn't leak). A skillet underneath helps if so.
Noodle Ring
9 cups of noodles, cooked
3 cups of soft breadcrumbs
3 cups milk
3 cups grated cheddar cheese
 cups butter, melted
2 tsp. Salt
3/8 tsp. Pepper
Few grains paprika
9 eggs, separated
Mix noodles, breadcrumbs, milk, cheese, melted butter and seasonings. Add beaten egg YOLKS. Fold (lightly mix w/ hands) in beaten WHITES last. Thoroughly grease a ring mold and spray w/ Pam and press mixture firmly into it. Set mold in a frying pan or skillet of water and bake in moderate oven at 325 for hour and a half
^^ heyy anything even resembling mac and cheese in ANY form is yummiee to me, esp BAKED zomggg
 thx for sharing
anyway Rebel 2nite...then 2 dinners back2back for Thanksgiving (my moms house then Drews house)...then pretty much playing the rest of the wknd by ear...most likely hitting the books since finals and project deadlines are just around the corner.
im extremely thankful for all the good influences in my life -- my family, my friends new and old (esp. some longlost ppl who i have gotten back in touch with this yr), and confidants who have stood by me, even when things got crazy for me this year. ESPECIALLY thankful that i have gutted all the major BS and negativity that was lurking in my life (thanks to intuition), soo all the sh*t was worth it to get things back in balance. I persevered :strong:
I don't and won't take any of it for granted.![]()
have a safe and great Thanksgiving everyone!!! <3

but before that i wanna see if i can do some volenteer work somewhere
iam not too close with my family except for a few members, so i would say besides them iam very thankfull for my friends and thankfull for the inner-strength in me that allows me to live day to day
recovering from Rebel & hosting my brother, who's coming down to visit me...
thankful for music, love, people, unconditional trust in spite of everything (someone found a dropped credit card @ Rebel, and a woman was asking around to find who lost it-- people didn't claim it & some tried to help her), & being alive.
thankful for my health and for making it out of rebel without heat stroke
just mashed some ridiculous potatoes and after gdjb headed to long island to eat with a friend and her family. oh and i'm thankful to having some new direction.
It is sooooo hot in here and I have all the windows open! I hope this turkey gets done already
im spending today gambling on football and eating turkey with the fam
So yeah, I got a little serious wit it. you guys don't really have to read it, but it feels great to write all this down.
Today I am grateful to be a productive member of society. I'm extremely proud of the fact that when people ask my mother what I'm doing these days, she doesn't have to make up lies and excuses because her son sells drugs and doesn't do shit with his life. She can proudly say that her son lives in DC and goes to school and works. I'm grateful to be sober. Every day I reflect on what it was like then and what it's like now. I'm grateful for forward progress. I'm grateful that today I have found a way to live that revolves around doing the right thing and being an honest and genuine person who says what he does and does what he says. I'm thankful that I don't make empty promises or lie about who I am or what I do. I'm grateful that my family and friends have stuck by me through thick and thin. I'm thankful that last night I was able to hang out with kids I grew up with. Adults now, who over the years have chosen not to hang out with me because I became a while drugged out hustler who chilled with gangsters and committed crimes with them. I'm grateful that my friends told me that is why they refused to speak to me and even more grateful that they are willing to be my friends again. That is what tells me that I have made progress. I'm grateful to have those friends, and a wonderful family. I'm grateful for Alcoholics Anonymous too. Not because they taught me how to stop drinking, but because they taught me how to not be such a selfish prick and how to calm down wit all my road rage, lol. They also taught me the value of doing the right thing and why helping others is so important. That's why I love that shit. It makes me not such a selfish douche.
And last but certainly not least. I AM SO FUCKING GRATEFUL FOR MUSIC!!! oh my god. Without melody, harmony, rhythm, texture, contour, tempo, dynamics, all that. without that I would truly be lost, because music has been the 1 thing in my life I have always been consistently above average at doing and also truly enjoyed. Whether it has been playing tuba and trombone, which I maintain proficiency at to this day, whether it's rapping, or DJing (i have an audition at Chi Cha lounge in DC coming up) music is like, the only thing that has helped me to keep it together. Without music I would have really lost it.
thanks for the thread Z

My Thanksgiving started on thanksgiving eve. Made a 5 hour drive down to D.C to go to Fur nightclub to go see Paul van dyk had a blast no doubt. Came home on thanksgiving went to go see some friends first in nyc. Went home and spent the rest of my evening with my family and some of my mothers friends that came over.
What im thankful for hmm well i got to be thankful for being alive and surviving the scariest effen car accident ive ever been in thats for sure( the other ppl in the other car im not sure on what there status are to be honest) all i received was a couple herniated discs and torn meniscuses in my knee and some burns on my knee. I also have to be thankful for my parents i know it may sound corny but i really am theyve helped me out alot these passed couple months especially with the incident and losing my job and stuff.
