Odd dream.

So I had one of those dreams where I'm trying to wake up. But, try as I might, I cannot. Not that that is the odd thing, since I have these pretty often.

I should mention that in the event of these dreams I usually (in the dream) start to loose my breath, and that when I do wake up, I wake gasping for air. No exception this morning.

I can't remember the dream exactly, so I'll type up what I wrote in my dream log:

11/28/09 - Dream #344:

Somebody is explaining to me, while I desperately try to induce myself to wake up: "Most people wake 'frozen' because their subconscious fall asleep and their conscious lags when waking; or only their conscious half-wake; and they stop breathing until they're fully awake because, when 'frozen,' they're too preoccupied with trying to wake up that they forget to breathe;

(trying to figure a person worse than Stalin; Kathy and a fake or invisible peanutbutter sandwich)

Weeeeirrd.

When you dream you are in the REM state. When you are in REM your major muscles are paralyzed. SO if you suddenly wake up they are not unparalyzed right away.

I didn't read what you posted though...and I didn't really read what I quoted either. I just haven't said this in a while.

Also, this past week I had a better dream where I was swimming from one side of a bay to the other during a sunset, and halfway across there was a sunken city whose rooftops came close to the surface and I could stand on them.

Dream #44

******** and I work at a department store; we are restocking, driving one of those golfcourse carts, and Priscilla and Jessica suddenly approach me after so long. They try to convince me to go meet a girl who is really depressed; I am very reluctant, citing that she might be a fat chick, but they persist; soon we're outside, me and Priscilla only; who is still trying to convince me. I get some things I shall be taking home and take them to my car (Biff's car from BTTF) and Priscilla still urges me but she won't tell me how this girl looks; so I try to seduce her out of a whim; she almost accepts my pass, but she says she'll let me if I court this mystery girl for one night;
